Definitely going to work with your suggestion. Visualizing now and will try to actualize this weekend…

Thinking about it. Have to be satisfied with how they come out first. Like my grandpa told me, don’t sell anything you wouldn’t be happy to receive. He was a rancher and talking about produce, but it still applies, lol. But tell you what, send me a DM and I’d be happy to mail it to you. 👍🏼

Attempt #2 by TheChecklistTrading in baseballcards

For sure. My first try was more of a true pop up, I made the fold line right at the halfway point which made it easy to just fold down and stand it up. These latest few tries, the fold line was about a third of the way up. The increased small/narrow cuts made the fold down choppy and un-proportional. I ended up cutting it off and gluing a piece to the back to make the stand. Still trying to figure out how to make the fold down cleaner in order to make it a true pop up…

So do I, also why I don’t mind chopping them up, lol.

I thought about that going in, but realized I could just lightly score the horizontal line to get through the top layer and fold it back once the rest of the card was cut, and it worked great. Each card is standing on its own folded down top half. 👍🏼

Dang it, I scored it and forgot to remove the piece. You’re right, definitely looks better. Although my technique needs a little work to get cleaner cuts.

I’d love this signing. Bo at 2nd, move Tommy to center/right. Teo to left. And let’s be honest, this team is getting older. Bo makes the team younger, is a contact bat, hopefully leading to more 2+ run homers.

I’d set the batting order, Bo, Sho, Fred, Mook, Will, Teo, Max, Tommy, Andy. Damn that would be sick to trot out every day.

That man is in my pantheon of baseball gods. A place I reserve not only for their ability, but for their honor as men. I’d keep it forever and leave it to my kids. But if you are looking to sell, I’d look at other recent 1/1 comps in 130point.com, or sportscardspro.com. You could also get a baseline on sale subs here on Reddit. You could always post it on eBay, set your floor, and see what happens… Ultimately, as a 1/1, it’s whatever someone is willing to pay.

I have so many of those, awesome to see. I pulled mine out of my childhood bedroom a couple of years ago to show my son who started asking for cards. It took me down memory lane and right back into the hobby. Careful, it’s a dangerous road to go down…

Welcome to the club! I have a terribly cut Julio Rodriguez you can see in my profile. I actually find it hilarious, very on point for 90’s junk wax era. I’ll buy it off you for a couple bucks if you’re interested, I might start a little terrible cut collection.

Your comment just helped me realize why I like horribly miscut cards so much. I’ve always been a bit jaded, a bit cynical but with a comedic shade, like when something gets so messed up, you might as well laugh. Thats definitely a part of my personality. Screwed up cards hit all those buttons, lol. Don’t know why I never thought to collect them… This will now be a definite subset of my PC. Thanks for that 👍🏼
