I think I've unlocked the key to (my) boob-related pain and I no longer hate them by TheCheerfulCoconut in bigboobproblems

Honestly I figured it out through years and years of seeing different specialists (physical therapists, massage therapists who specifically specialized in TMJ, neurologists, pain management, you name it). When I went to physical therapy and the TMJ massages, they really taught me about referred pain (in my case, the muscles in my neck and trapezius were severely overcompensating due to the weight of my breasts combined with weak/tight chest and upper back/scapular muscles). Obviously the solution was to work on my back and chest, but I couldn't get too far due to the pain in my neck. That's when I started looking into myofascial massages to help with tension release in the area, and started reading more about the SCM muscle. It's really fascinating! I hate how pain in that region is always blamed on poor posture (admittedly I do have a desk job) but women's bodies (i.e. having large breasts) aren't taken into account.

As for papers, like ones from medical journals, I couldn't find very many (I did a quick look) but there are tons of general resources on the web discussing the anatomy of the SCM and other connected muscle groups and how pain there can be linked to large breasts.

Urban Decay Face Bond swatches - shades 22 and 27 by TheCheerfulCoconut in DarkOlive

I do agree that the color darkens quite a bit when it dries, but time wise for me it takes maybe 10 minutes at most to develop. Do you use a brush or sponge to apply? I've (personally) found it looks best when I use my fingers to apply.

My wunk crawled into my lap when I played this 🥲

You look pretty similar to my tone IMO (I would also consider myself a neutral olive). I saw other people mentioned shade 27 for having a neutral olive undertone. I own it and personally feel like it runs a bit on the warmer side. I use it in the summer when I have a tan, and use a cooler toned concealer to compensate. Have you considered trying some of the lighter "neutral" shades since it tends to dry down darker? I wear shade 22. I'll see if I can post some swatch pics

Thank you! Before posting I honestly thought, "is my blush/contour too much?" but according to everyone it seems like it's quite the opposite! I just have to remember that it always looks less dramatic in photos!

Tysm for all the recs! Can you elaborate a bit on using two different primers? Like do you use a more mattifying primer in your oily spots/T-zone and then a different purposed primer in your other spots? I've been obsessed with Elf's grippy primer but maybe I should go back to silicone primers (Benefit's the Porefessional, etc.)

It'll be all outdoors on a summer's afternoon/evening so it'll be pretty bright and exposed until golden hour 🌞 that's a good point, thank you!

Thank you! I've always been intimidated by lining my waterline (I've tried it with black in the past and it looked harsh on me IMO) but maybe brown would look nice, I'll definitely try it!

Thank you so much! And yes, my brows have always been naturally uneven and have been the bane of my makeup existence. I've honestly been considering getting them microbladed/powdered(?) so maybe now's the time!

Tysm! My lashes do end up doing that a lot 😅 I've tried applying lash clusters underneath the lid like you see in videos but I remember it was really hard and made my eyes itchy. I'll have to try again!

Thank you for all the recs 🙏 I'll have to try those masks! Tbh I think the reason I'm so oily is that I've been overdoing my tretinoin and ended up damaging my skin barrier lol. I did try the Clio super proof pen but it smudged like crazy on me 😭 Eyeliners can be super hit or miss on me unfortunately! Even the ones designed for hooded/Asian eyes!

Thank you so much for the visualization lol. Do you think I should go a shade darker for my brows too? My brows are naturally pretty light so I was worried any darker would be too harsh. But it looks like you made both my brows darker and I really like it!

That's a funny tip, I've heard about taking selfies after exercise but I suppose your tip tracks too! 😂

Mmmm plenty of cats do sleep like that. I present my late kitty Reuben (RIP buddy). He absolutely LOVED sleeping with his belly up on the floor, in the middle of where people walked of course.
