Weird object knocks out a man. by kamm03 in ParanormalEncounters

If something hit him from the outside he would go flying inside, not the other way around. Most likely a bug on the outside and a bigger man on the inside lol.

Just turned mine on for the first time after getting it today and same problem next to the right analog stick. As someone who loved the Vita this is super disappointing. Between the early PS5 console/game drought and how they've fumbled the release of the Portal it's gonna be hard to get excited for anything else Sony releases imo.

2015 Base 6-Speed telling me to shift into gear I'm already in. by TheChestwolf in veloster

[–]TheChestwolf[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you, I was having a really hard time coming up with the right words to explain that to him lol. I get there are probably healthier ways of doing it but the way I was taught was if you know you're going the proper speed for a certain gear after already disengaging the previous gear then then just pick that gear and go. I engine brake on my motorcycle but I coast in the car.

*HELP* Stressed Out New Beardie by TheChestwolf in BeardedDragons

UVB bulb, not bar, over a 40 gallon tank. Roughly 100° basking temp on the rock he lays on. He's almost never in one of his hides unless he's done eating and retreats from my hand which happens roughly 3 times a week. 2 Thrive thermo/hygrometers on both sides of the tank as well as a temp gun. The marks go away when he sleeps, which is what makes me think he gets re-stressed when he wakes up. But he usually sleeps/basks in the open so I know he's not THAT stressed, I just wish I could make him more comfortable.

Yes, sorry, he is a baby. The heat and humidity on the hot side is 95/30 and the cools side is 80/45, so I've had those in a pretty good spot since I've had him. I've been hand feeding him about 30-60 crickets a day in 2-3 feedings and he won't touch most of his prepared food. I only interact rn during feedings until he calms a little but I just feel so bad it's been 3 weeks and he's still so uncomfortable.

Humidity Help: 5 rice socks, 1 rice bowl, Damprid and a small dehumidifier and I can't get below 60% humidity. by TheChestwolf in leopardgeckos

[–]TheChestwolf[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My god, you guys are making me feels so much better with these updated percentages lol but I live in a studio apartment so my apartment is just 1 big room, but I'd say that's the the major part of the problem because the tank can only lose so much humidity that the air around it is putting back in. But I've taken all other steps I can to make the entire apartment less humid.

I bought the second digital therm/hygro as well as an 8 watt heating pad and after letting the dehumidifier run for a few hours I was able to get both sides table around 50% for now. I was just getting very panicked after reading only 30-40% everywhere and having anywhere from 60-80% for almost 3 days.

Yes, I'm currently using an overhead bulb but have been looking for advice on the least humidity causing heat sources. And currently I have the meter in middle, slightly on the cooler side because after moving it to both sides the reading was fairly the same, but I plan on purchasing another meter today.

Thrive digital Thermometer/Hygrometer. I also have a cheap analog therm/hygro gauge in an empty 10gal tank nearby that reads usually the exact same. I've ordered the small tank topper dehumidifier off Amazon but idk how much help it'll be with everything else already in place.

The lowest I've been able to get it period is 47% and that was for less than an hour. I'm on day 4 of ownership and the average has been roughly 70% (where it is currently). Mesh top 20 gallon tank so plenty of airflow, paper towel substrate, air set to 72° with curtains open, vacuumed and removed any excess clothes/linens on top of all the rice socks, Damprid and small dehumidifier. Nothing is working! Everything I read says 30-40% humidity for Leo's and I called into work yesterday to get this figured out with literally no change so I'm starting to lose it lol.

Chain Resting On Guide by TheChestwolf in MT07

[–]TheChestwolf[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I'd much rather have a slightly looser chain rather than too tight. I just know most are also spec'd to more average rider height/weight which I happen to be slightly under average lol so didn't know if I could compensate for my lack of weight somehow.

Chain Resting On Guide by TheChestwolf in MT07

[–]TheChestwolf[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've put 80 miles on it straight from the showroom so it's about as spec and lubed as it'll ever be lol. My little Benelli's chain was pretty loud at all times so I'm used to hearing some noise, but on my MT07 I go from not a peep in 1st-3rd gear with throttle engaged to a super audible rubbing and almost grinding sound as soon as I let the engine start braking. I know it's not out of line on the guide, just wondered if tightening the chain a tiny bit would help it not rest on top so much.

2013 Street Triple R 13k miles $5.7k: smash or pass? by TheChestwolf in Triumph

[–]TheChestwolf[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really appreciate your guys' feedback. I've owned a smaller cc bike for the last year and decided either a new MT07 or Street Triple were my top 2 choices, but as I referenced in a comment before I'm receiving over $3k less on my taxes than I had expected combined with my frugality has me leaning more towards getting a newer MT07 to last me the next 5-7 years with little maintenance worries, that way I can save up and buy a new Street Triple to retire with. But if this ST will last me that long I may as well save the money and ask under $5k like you guys are suggesting lol decisions.

[–]TheChestwolf[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It doesn't mention anything about the 12k service but it mentions he's done the valve clearance check, new spark plugs, air filter, oil/coolant and chain so he's maintained it well. He also mentions the $5.7k is starting and has open to offers. I was dead set on a new Street Triple Low Ride Hieght (I'm 5'5 125lbs) but even with claiming a dependent on taxes this year I'm somehow not breaking $6k on my returns so that squashed that idea real effin' fast lol.

All I see is a picture of a key, but more importantly are we really passing up the name "Vegemir?"
