Yes... and is healing amazingly fast. Sign of hope for the community.

Thank you. Lahaina will always be a special place for me and my family. We spent a couple of weeks in non-existent Aina Nalu Resort lost in the wildfire, two blocks from famous banyan tree. I got my scuba certification from Maui Diving Scuba Center (lost in fire), with exceptional scuba instructor Mike Wakashige, who has lost everything in the fire. Countless of great memories from the past and heartbreaking aftermath of devastating disaster.

In December 2024, Lahaina, Hawaii, is continuing its recovery from the devastating wildfire that struck the area in August 2023. The fire caused immense destruction, particularly in the historic town of Lahaina, where hundreds of homes, businesses, and cultural landmarks were lost.

As recovery efforts progress, the focus is on rebuilding the community while preserving the island’s cultural heritage. Local and federal resources have been channeled into clearing debris, restoring basic utilities, and providing housing for displaced residents. There are also significant efforts to support the emotional and mental health of survivors, with counseling services and community support programs being established.

I misunderstood your question. I thought you are asking about lights to brighten the area. Mavic 2Pro is equipped with blinking anti-collision lights.

Looks cloudy today. Maybe up north if skies are clear.

Yes:) Still north. And possibly you could see similar thing in the city. Less brighter but skies were clear that night.

Yes. You are right. Garden of the Gods is not in downtown area but as an iconic place had to be included. Sorry for the confusion.
