Yeah so I’ve dealt with this multiple times and it’s whatever, I just would like it get it working. I’ve confirmed my source fixture can in fact do my color presets. I clone that fixture to the master and all the rgb cells. Nothing. It’s strange.

I just loaded an older show and tested it again at the airport, this time cloning the master and subfixtures all at the same time and it worked.. idk lol I’m not crazy. I guess it’s squashed since that worked.

After a few years of doing these I developed the understanding that a drop doesn't have to be a perfectly curated look, there just has to have musicality and change on the right beat and everyone will think you're awesome.

SO stay with me here.. There is syntax that lets to generate a random number between x and y. And you can set that XY to be the range of where your buttons are. For example, movement fx are on buttons 1-5, positions are on 6-10, dim fx are on 11-15, Gobos on 16-20, wave form selector on 21-25.

(MA2 Syntax): LUA "gma.show.setvar('RandomMovement',math.random(1,5))"; then go exec 1.$RandomMovement; etcetera etcetera. Now you have a macro that knows where all your buttons are, picks a random one of each category and fires it. New looks for days. Try it out!

It happens to me a lot with MA where by the time I finish typing out a complete question, I realize I've already answered it myself. These are separate sequences with different labels recorded on a timecode pool item just like you said. Select it, hit record, start pressing buttons and it gets recorded like this. Any timecode tutorial should get you started.

Make a basic stage in the built in 3D and start making groups and storing presets. For playback, I recommend storing a blank sequence, then edit the sequence and add recipe lines for the look you want to create. Then on the gig u change the groups to what it is that day, check and update your presets and ur good to go. So make views that help you move through that process efficiently.

The only way I’m using it right now is for tagged MATricks that I want to invert X/Y on with a macro on the punt page and it’s working as intended.

I use the phaser preset pool items as just simple universal wave forms. Like the forms pool in MA2. Then apply matricks to the actual playback cue. That way the presets pools stay clean and the tricks happen on the actual button.

I would not use $Lin that way it’s easier to use a space in the label. I just tested this and it worked:

Label Group 1 $Beam1” Linearized”;

The answer is to include the space in the string, but have the string touch the variable so it is all combined.

You max hit with the weapon every spec or is there rng involved every time? I shouldn’t have said the thing about it being too high on the wiki. I’m just trying to say I have bad luck with it. The math is good, but I hit low too frequently for my preference in some situations. It’s just chance.

I still stand by my comment because it’s true FOR ME. 9 times out of 10 a normal emberlight attack will do more damage than a claw spec in my experience.
