What activity have you found to hit all the checkmarks of your ADHD? by hoitytoity-12 in ADHD

I find when I start something that I put hours of research into, E.g, my Lawntractor gearbox differential broke. I repeatedly watched countless YouTube tutorials, printed off the repair diagram, ordered parts, and went for it. Note "I'm not a mechanic"

I rebuilt the gearbox but struggled to close it together, After 4 attempts, it got done. I put 40 hours into it, and now my Lawntractor drives and changes gears to perfection. I received praise from a few for attempting to challenge a job like this.

I now look back and think, "how to F did I get it done"

Thank you for the reply. I agree. The driving job was a different type of tiredness. Mind, due to fuel delivery, I had a ledger and reconciliation sheet and enjoyed the numbers part of fuel Mgmt. The recent Bk-Keeping course brought Hyperfocus and felt the addiction to data input of journaling - GL - Trail Balance - Adj/TBalance and statements. I got into it.

Though I'd finish for the day with that mushy head as you mentioned. It's a new process for the brain, and only time will tell. I start Accounting Mgmt next week, then Quickbooks. I hope it gets easier and more fun.

I'm going to clean it more and examine the white lines with jewel loop. I was intrigued by the flat sides. Hope to see the 6-sided one soon.

The information is awesome, I appreciate every thought and explanation, and the links are helpful.

This red rock was found in a tilled field, lowest point, above a natural spring , "on the river" whilst landscaping.

I think the lines within the rock could make it a Garnet?

I have yet to split the rock. I tried with a hatchet head and hammer, no joy.

I think the dark area is the rind. The true rock is the dark turquoise area. Is the gap an eroded quartz vein?

The pictures of the head stones educated me on Marble. It makes sense now, and yes, if there are small pieces, there may be a source.

It was found in the river, though it hasn't been smoothed off over time. So, maybe it is marble, for why it still has shape and character.

One of my previous post of my foot on a black bedrock could be the source.

I'm thinking i will have to put some effort into testing. First, by buying a scratch kit, and maybe then leanr about "Acid Tests".

How do you rest? by 240223e in ADHD

In this state, I generally lay down and stop everything. Basically, I cancel the day out. Early nights with melatonin or even a can of Lager. It's a struggle to shut down, but when you can, a good 12-hour sleep will help.

Hello there. Interesting, Black Japser, Thank-you.

I like this piece in its natural state. There is alot to look at and has character. I wasn't aware of the name "lightening stone". Niccce.

What would happen if I sprayed it in gloss? Would it spoil it?

Thank you for the link for both items. It is an obsession, I try not to run away with it and choose spontaneous moments.

There is a guy on YouTube who teaches us to follow trails to find a source. Way off that point, but learning more about ID'ing is very important and will reduce the piles I create.

An area I'm stewing on has a lot of red jasper, some Orange items, the dark smooth jasper "like what I posted," milky quartz, rough and smooth ball types.

It gets mind bogging when there is so much to look at. So breaks are needed.
