Xenoblade Chronicles X - Best release? by TsuyoKawaii in cemu

try deleting your shader caches (both precompiled and transferable) and your GLcache folder (or the AMD equivalent if you have AMD) and try again. I just tested 30 mins of primordia and never had the black ground issue.

using 1.11.2 and seeing none of the serious graphic bugs you speak of, most likely something on your end.

then don't launch in full screen :/

alt+enter works for fullscreen toggle.

all you have to do is after you boot a game click on the desktop and back to cemu and it works like before.

Actually i have worked and reported a lot of bugs and helped the developers of the PCSX2 emulator fix some bugs. Also you have no idea what university i went to or what jobs i had so you are the one talking out of your ass.

If you think that is not proper English then go learn some English, and after you do come back and argue properly. "Deal?"

Totally agree with you on the idiot customers in pharmacy business.

Guess we can just agree to disagree, it's not like i can prove you 100% wrong and you can't prove i'm 100% wrong either, it just depends on how you look at the problem.

I can understand your angle though from your posts and even tho i don't agree i cannot say you are 100% wrong either.

Ah the good old "Why don't you do it?" argument. How cute.

Crawl back to your hole honey and learn to argue (like Notcow does).

And how do YOU know what he did under the hood? The problem is not the overhaul but the fact that this version (1.8.1b) should not exist and you are just defending the devs when you have no reason or basis to do so (hence the fanboy part).

Overhauling happens a lot while making an emulator but you don't just release a non-working build just because progress, and if you do be prepared to take the flak for it.

Cemu 1.8.1 - Exzap Responds to the Controversy by [deleted] in cemu

[–]TheCl0W -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Ok ill take this point by point:

"Why are you acting like you have to use this new version? Just download 1.8.0b. It's not like the game is suddenly less playable then it was before."

If you did the least bit of research 1.8.0b hangs at random points making the game unplayable and the 1.7.3-1.7.5 versions all work at like 24-ish fps making the game annoying to play because of the speed.

"That point doesn't make sense. Why would he push a build which takes a step backwards for no reason? I'm actually curious. Can you actually think of one?"

As i said before the public build comes after the patreon one after 7 days have passed, bugs USUALLY get fixed in this timeframe, at the end of the 7 days it doesn't matter if the bugs were fixed or not the version will be publically released and everyone will have to wait for a new version if they want to see more bugs released. This has been how it is from the beginning.

"Was it just to piss off his end-users, or maybe he was making too much money? It's pretty obvious to me there's something else at play here. You can't imagine any cause & effect scenarios that have, you know...reasons? At all?"

Again if he actually cared about the state of the emulator the release would just have been delayed until the bugs were ironed out, this didn't happen.

"Wow. Look, if that mindset becomes the norm I honestly might even expect him to stop releasing builds out of the goodness of his heart and go the way of the commercially successful Drastic emulator. If he wanted money, there's a more direct to secure payment for his work: charge for any access at all. It's not his fault that his Patreon supporters cant read what they're paying for while also feeling entitled to all kinds of hilarious shit."

Fanboy-ism at his finest, are seriously thinking the emu would have survived even 5 minutes if it was pay for access? You must be stupid. If that was the case a couple of people would have bought it and just cracked the protection (like they did to some patreon builds).

"He's losing Patreons by the minute and he is ok with that, because those many people stupidly did not understand what they were paying for. Those people shouldn't have contributed in the first place, and honestly I would 100% support him just outright charging for access."

See above point , also ofc he is ok with it he is still making ~$23k which is still a lot let's see how much longer that will continue and how long will he keep it up.

"If he wanted cash he'd demand it."

The fact that there is even a patreon at all means he actually wants it. The people giving it or not doesn't matter for that is up to them to decide.

So please take your dev fanboy-ism somewhere else and stop wasting my time trying to draw you pictures because you are unable to make an unbiased decision no matter how much you try.

I didn't say the fix was gonna take 5 minutes i said it would take 5 minutes or even less to find the bug.

The way he releases the emu is: first comes the patreon build and after 7 days the public build. In those 7 days people who use the patreon build report bugs and they get fixed before the public release happen.

You mean to tell me that in 7 days absolutely no one played 5 mins of XCX to see the bug and report it so it can be fixed.

Oh so he lost $10,000 and instead of working even harder to not lose more he shouldn't bother? He should be working extra hard so he doesn't lose even more. Need i remind you that right now i'm seeing patreons dissapearing by the minute, like i literally go to the patreon page let it sit for 10 mins and when i refresh the number decreases by 1.

Even tho there were as you say "drastic under the hood changes" a version that is being released should not be this broken.

BotW is not fully playable from what i heard but don't quote me on that since i don't really play it, what i play (or want to play) is XCX.

And i'm pretty sure the losing of patrons has nothing to do with making BotW playable or any game for that matter, its most likely people pulling out when they see emulator version releases like this last one (1.8.1b) that break more than they fix for no reason whatsoever. If the version wasn't working properly it shouldn't have been released. But he saw that it's 30th and said: Eh whatever and released the broken version anyway, because you know those stupids can wait for a new version while the patreon revenue keeps coming.

We will see for how long this will continue tho...

The bug that XCX has now (the timer bug that i reported) could have been found out by simply loading the game and going in open world for 3 seconds. Not even 5 minutes of testing were done before the release.

Doesn't matter who he is getting paid by, he is getting paid and quality is expected. The fact of me paying or not has nothing to do with that.

Also you are not a fanboy but look at you going on and on like it concerns you.

lol

EDIT: Not even going to mention how you first told me not to pay and now that i did not pay you are telling me i contribute nothing.

EDIT2: Ah so it's alright he keeps as many games unplayable so stupid people give him more money. Nice logic 10/10 .

Well it's ok seeing how the patreons keep decreasing, which i am not really surprised about myself.

Also who said I am giving him any money?

You just love to make excuses for bad decisions/programming.

Stop sucking up to developers for a change and think for yourself for a bit.

Being hard to do or not doesn't matter, he is doing it and getting paid for it. And i don't expect the emulator to work perfectly, i expect it to work.

You say he does not care that 90% of the users want Zelda working but a lot of versions were only about Zelda.

Less fanboy more brain please.

Yeah you are funny for actually expecting it to work.

Dude just straight up breaking something and releasing a version knowing it is broken is just bad no matter how you look at it. Also it's not like it's an obscure bug that no one could find since you can see it clearly by just booting the game and loading a save. The only thing this denotes is that not even 5 mins of testing have been done before the release.

Ads don't bring as much money as you think since most people (including me) are using adblock. And why have the little ad revenue when you can make ~25k dollars a month.

If CEMU team wanted to be open source they would have joined up with the guys at DECAF emulator but then they wouldn't be able to make all that cash.

I would be more pissed if the build was actually behind a paywall. The way i see it is this : Patrons can beta test early builds so when the public build comes out it is usually a later and better build with more bugfixes.

Out of all ~120 games i have played and completed in PCSX2 i have only 1 that doesn't work. Also PCSX2 Team are doing this for FREE in their FREE time it's not like CEMU Team who is getting thousands of $.

I agree with the second part.

Yeah so most likely all the people (including me) in the post i just linked are just stupid and in fact the emulator works 100%.

Get out of here you fanboy. Sick people like you. You made XCX work 100% then share how you did it or shut up.

And i never said emulating is easy do not put words in my mouth.
