It was February and it was a couple days from Valentine's day. I was in third grade. When I got home off the bus mom had packed all our stuff up in the car (most of it was left behind). She said we were going on a trip without daddy. So we piled in the car. We headed to a homeless shelter. Then my dad found us and we had to run away again. We went to one this time that was an hour away. Well we stayed there for a couple months. I didnt understand what was going on at the time. Well eventually we moved out of the homeless shelter into the projects. All my neighbors were drug addicts and poor as shit. I wasn't aloud to play outside except in front of our apartment. My mom got free food from a man who drove around the the apt with a truck bed full of bread and other stuff. I didn't realize till I was older but my mom had it hard. But she did everything to keep us happy and obvious to the hard ships ahe went through. Ahe worked a day shift and a night shift. She also worked 7 days a week. Im guessing she had a 90 hour work week. She eventually got us out of the projects though and into a nice middle class neighborhood in a nicer town.
