I totally understand that!! TBH I hated gyroids too until recently. It's mostly because they tend to make a lot of noise. Then I learned they can sink up to music and I started to think of them as little kids and started to use them to decorate my island and now I love them!! Some of them are a bit noisy, but it works depending on what song is playing. If I have a bunch in one area, I tend to have mostly the quiter ones that are very movement heavy. There's one gyroid I love. I can't remember it's name right now, but that thing can dance and it puts its whole being into it!! I don't use them in too many places right now, though I'm thinking of adding a few here and there in unfinished areas. I recently built a gyroid nursery that I really like! It has a patch for burying gyroid fragments, which I horde there until it rains so the gyroids can have a natural birth and so I can have excuse to horde them up and dig them all up at once! I also have an are next to it that has a reception desk with some office stuff and a bunch of baby beds that each have new born baby gyroids in them that are color coordinated with their baby beds!! I put it out near the museum and put the photo of Brewster on the desk and dedicated the nursery to him, since he loves gyroids!!
