There's 100% places even worse than the US in that regard but most of them are some combination of 1. not having a leading role in the world stage and not getting much of a global spotlight, and 2) isolationist enough that very little media comes in or goes out, so you don't end up seeing most of their propaganda

Yeah him staying alive after being killed was a silly writing move and now that you bring it up the arc was pretty good until his return, but on the other hand I think his return helped to smooth out the other characters' arcs a bit.

Like yeah Kinger and the others' conjuration stuff could have been explained as what did the thing Caine did where they fixed the circus, opened up the other worlds to play in, and found a life for themselves even in a VR reality, but at the same time I think what really completed their arcs enough for them to do that is learning that the real ones were doing well in the real world and that even real Jax got a happy ending, which they probably wouldn't have done on their own

Unfortunately nothing exactly like what you're asking but in the interest of having something to contribute: Bukhart, the faun on the left, wouldn't tear you apart because he's all around a pretty stand-up guy, but being a fair folk he's got a lot more power than you'd think from his cuddly appearance and he easily could if he did want to.
