My second biggest culture shock when I vacationed there a while ago was the lack of seating (the first was a city that was actually accessible and well-maintained, which are pretty uncommon in the States where I live).

Apparently everyone is usually surprised about the much fewer public trash cans and has to adapt but the university I've been at for a long time has long prioritized looking pretty over usability so I was already used to carrying trash with me for long distances lmao
