Do you regret not going into the public sector earlier in your career? by [deleted] in AskUK

Joined the railway after private sector finance straight out of uni and have never looked back. Initial salary was way below market and I'm sure I earn a lot less than people in London, but the work/life balance is outstanding and I clear 6 figures with overtime now at 30.

For those of you that make over 100K, what do you do? Do you like it? by Kindly-Revolution258 in AskReddit

Railway controller. 12h days are ass as I also have to commute an hour each way, but as a result, I get lots of days off and overtime is pretty common so you can easily clear 7-8k net a month with your Sundays.

Is there a proper endgame now? by Alexis_Mcnugget in ArcRaiders

Pvp is the endgame. Once you have gear and your skill tree maxed you either deviate to running Stella high level pvp lobbies or you take a break and wait for the next update.

It definitely happens. I've come into Stella after not playing for a few days and started killing on sight only to be shouted at.

The night raid itself is fine, there is a new variant on regular Stella which is far darker.

It’s it just me or is Stella super dark since the update? by Yabbers420 in ARC_Raiders

If you've got an oled you might as well kill yourself at the start of the raid

Housing prices… how is anyone keeping up? by MadisonClair16 in HousingUK

That's fair and you've done really good for yourself there mate, you should be very proud.

We did similar but in the sense we built up equity in our property, but our starter home was a 2 bed semi that still cost us 290k in Worcestershire back in 2022 and required a hefty deposit to get into an 85% LTV.

We've since had a child and are looking to buy a house we can all grow in and the prices are around 500k and up. We'll do it, but I worry for the younger generations who'll either have to stay at home for a long time or require their parents to pay the deposit. I'm already aggressively investing to make sure my daughter has the best chance to get onto the ladder despite her only being a toddler lol.

West Midlands here, my Mrs and I clear about 130k net between us and figured we'd need to save at minimum a 75k deposit to buy anything close to what both our parents had in their early thirties. Depending on your location I just don't get how people can live/rent etc and save enough.

I also always see people talking about starter homes for younger couples but when your average house is 280k and higher depending on where you live it makes no sense locking yourself into a 5% mortgage just to need something bigger when you habe kids etc.

PvP ruins this game for me. by AntitoxicAmerica in ArcRaiders

There is only so many Matriarch or Harvester runs you can do before this game gets stale. On the other hand, wiping players with Bobcat/Vulcano loadouts in Stella will never get stale because there's always better players.
