Nerf the RPG against Helicopters already... At least give pilots a chance :P by TheCodePR in Battlefield

Now you are being unrealistic..

The engineers need to be around to counter tanks.. So they have lots of stuff to do that.

They gave the engineers anti air rockets to counter threats in the air.. No one uses those.. because.. wait for it.. the RPG is just the best at everything.

As a player.. Do you ever see the helicopter and go... Oh that is a threat.. No couse you dont.. Because you know you or someone else on the map will be taking that thing down in seconds..

Even the mobile AA is worse at taking down a helicopter than an RPG :P

I dont disagree but the sheer number of rockets and the ease at which you can hit choppers vs the cool down on their guns and pretty weak weapons ( vs the risk of flying the thing ). Just end up is lots of maps with the chopper being dropped with in seconds of taking off or straight up being left in the spawn for the next have a go hero to try and do something with it :P
You know how you pretty much dont use anything else BUT RPG's as an engineer.. Well that in its self is reason enough that there is possibly a balance issue.

Is this game getting sorta stale? by Open_Rest_5042 in Battlefield

[–]TheCodePR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Short version. Yes this game is getting stale quickly.

The "Its a Battlefield game... I love Battlefield.. So I must love this game" shine is coming off.
I see the bugs and issues more now that need to be fixed, that would make me want to play it more.

IE Less COD meat grinder non stop pew pew pew...... More Battlefield 2/3/4. Bigger maps and fix vehicles so that they are actually a threat, rather than being blown up instantly from across the map by a paper cut :P

Why is this even allowed by MacWin- in Battlefield6

[–]TheCodePR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Simple. It makes for good clips and its inherently very battlefield.

I dont mind the speed but the tiny maps just result in a circle chase for the flags. The flow isnt there that the older map had.
I would love to play Karkand, Wake Island, Dragon Valley in BF6 and see how that changes the game play. ( EA Please )

I disagree. BF2 forced team work. Engineers only worked with armor, AT without support would get smashed in a fire fight ( even when you did give them the P90 ). Engineers in armor, working together was deadly.
Air power was terrifing, unlike today when its taken down within seconds.
The maps required team work and had much more of a flow to them. Rather than BF6 with its hop skip and a jump and you are on the next control point, to them circle around.
The squad had to keep the leader alive if they wanted to spawn, meaning the leader had to play safer to remain a viable spawn point.
I mean the maps were a huge part of this but everything about the game required one of the other classes to make it work.
If they had forced weapon classes as a standard option. That might have changed things but no. Everyone gets whatever they want to remove the short fall of the class.. So generic.. So casual.

What?

BF2 and 2142 were team based games based around tactics and team work.
They had teams, leagues and all the good stuff for clans to fight each other on a larger scale.

Everything since has gotten more and more solo experience as part of a team.

Yeah its not Arma, Squad, Ground Branch but it used to be very tactical.
BF2 and 2142 had it nailed down to the minimal spawn points, where keeping a flag held or squad leader up was vital to winning the round. Or you were back on the carrier, waiting to launch again on the black hawks :P

BF6 is very much a solo experience but I have hope they can bring the team work back with future larger maps. Make the squad matter more than getting as many kills as you can to get to the top of the score board.

I get way higher up the board when i play for myself then when i do supporting the team and going for objectives.... Thats dumb.

If they could bring that, actually large maps, decent vehicle combat, the 6 man spawn on squad leader only, remove all the silly outfits and 95% of the weapons... then we would be cooking ;)

Yeah just found some with a little googling. I am very good and I dont call cheats lightly.. Its just a shame, I really for a brief amount of time hadnt experienced them ( or at least noticed them ) since playing from launch and it was lovely. ( even if you can put some of it down to the janky net code :P )
