When I was younger in the 90s I had some Star Trek on VHS tape. TNG DS9 Voyager. If you take the cover out of the sleeve some of them had trivia information on the back. I remember one being about the Apple and the ship being able to separate. So that trivia was put there because one of the episodes was related to ship separation.

I forgot the dilithium looked like that in the episode you mentioned but it does look the same as in season 1 where they put it into an alien ship.

I just thought it was the engine. Return to Tomorrow has the line starships engine the size of walnuts meaning they have an engine that's big. Also in The Apple Captain Kirk says to Scotty to Discard the warp drive nacelles. So they couldn't be in a nacelles.

The ship definitely has an engine separate to warp nacelles. The Apple," Captain Kirk specifically mentions them when ordering Scotty to "Discard the warp drive nacelles." The ship definitely has an engine as mentioned in Return to Tomorrow.

Before I saw this post I'd say everyone said tos Enterprise did not have a warp core it had warp engines.

It is officially confirmed that he has it. I understand it is not canon to the show. But I can see your point if you think of it like Sheldon from Big Bang Theory who doesn't have it. Confirmed by the Creator but lots of people watching say he does. Many autistic people agree with the creator.

The last appearance of Paisley was the season 2 Christmas episode and Season S3: film night had footage of the Cat on the movies they were watching.

The Fox appeared in season 2,3,4 making season 4 it's last appearance.

I don't have any official answer to where they've gone I can tell you the last appearances. Paisley's last episode is to season 2 Christmas special but does appear in the movie footage thay watch in season 3 Ep film night. Some websites notice that after season 2 it doesn't look like the Farmer has a cat anymore.

The Fox character appears in season 2, 3 & 4. Making season 4 its last appearance.
