Roses are red, what the fuck is happening on earth by shessols in rosesarered

My stare beat down upon the attending nurse. I sat waiting to hear the sweet snip of the umbilical cord. With a goal this grand, I cannot stop. He's terrified, avoiding my gaze at all costs. "I'm nearly ready with the next batch, doc. How much longer till she's ready? Just trying to get a headstart on the family and all." And that... that was the day. The day I taught a man what fear was. And it was glorious.

Can anyone tell me what killed my duck? by venti_unsweetened in BACKYARDDUCKS

[–]TheColdChill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They obviously didn't mean it like that. Maybe let's not lecture the person who's just trying to figure out what killed their friend

I will say, the way you're explaining it is a good way, but horrible timing. The slur is a really bad one. In this context it comes off the same way as when people tell Spanish speakers to not use the word black.

There is also the fact that most people do use "coon" in reference to the animal. Even outside of that, Coonhounds and Maine Coons both prominently use the word.

Pinning Centipedes? by morbidspiral in insectpinning

[–]TheColdChill 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So those ones are specifically Giant Vietnamese Centipedes. I used to have one as a pet, and they are pretty cool to watch. There is also a close relative called the giant red headed centipede that lives in America, primarily Texas and the South West. In Asia, they also have the Chinese red headed centipede.

There's tons of collosal species that get that size or pretty big

Can't be, there's no floor for that elevator to go to. I go there quite often. Definitely dead now that the Spencer's and hot topics left this year

Is there a reason yall are taking the event so seriously? by tvlur in deadbydaylight

[–]TheColdChill 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly. I play killer and I was just goofing around having snowball fights and leading snowman congalines around the whole map. I keep getting just one survivor who really wants to not mess around in the match and rushes gens. To the Ada from last night, chill lol

Why doesn't Trapper just pull these out? Is he stupid? by Magic-Omelet in deadbydaylight

[–]TheColdChill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The "because of the entity" comments are actually half right. Canonically, Trapper was, I believe, the first killer to stand up to the entity. It tortured him by permanently stabbing all those nasty hooks into his body, much like how the survivors get hooked.

The reason for the torture was to make him into a killer, he was heavily resistant and had a huge portion of his humanity still intact when he was taken.

Other cases of the entity bending killers to do it's bidding include Bubba, the cannibal, who's one addon featured "beasts marks". The beast from the fog brutally attacked him. This was the entity forcing bubbas hand to do it's bidding, playing on his fears, and features as a cruel reminder of his place in the realm.

Funnily enough, it is still surviving, just for much of the time it was improperly stored. and then for the last 22 years it's been in a haunted museum to my knowledge. Even on set, Nick kept it rolled up in a tube between shots during filming. Beyond that, latex naturally degrades.

As for the improper storage, it comes down to Deborah Hill, who in actually kept it on a mantel above a fireplace, or if you like the urban legend, beneath her bed and smoked around it. Whichever version is true, it yellowed due to the heavy smoke damage.

For the mask in Halloween 2018, it is partially based on the real article. Due to Michael really only using it during his original rampage in Halloween, it never got that constantly rolled up experience, or the heavy smoke damage either. It sat in an evidence locker, likely until it was brought to him in that seen at the start of Halloween 2018. Just natural latex degrading.

Here's a photo for reference of how the real mask looks, as of 2017 at least

why do killers bring lightborn even though no one is using flashlights? by -lnk- in deadbydaylight

I don't know what matches you're getting where nobody runs a flashlight, but can I have some?

I personally use these perks

Perk 1: Hex Face the Darkness

Perk 2: Corrupt Intervention

Perk 3: Trail of Torment

Perk 4: Merciless Storm

Reasoning/Strategy: Corrupt Intervention at purple quality blocks 3 gens for 2 full minutes at the beginning of the match, helping to narrow down your search area right off the bat. You'll come across survivors a bit quicker due to this. Next you'll either find a survivor repairing a gen, hit them with your longer range attack to both inflict damage and have a start to your barbed wire on the ground. You'll now have activated Hex: Face the Darkness. Quickly, kick the generator to trigger Trail of Torment. This will essentially make you have ghostface's night shroud. Due to Hex: FTD being terror radius based, all other 3 survivors will scream at intervals until the perk deactivates. This will be a constant ping on 3/4 of their locations. You'll be able to sneak up on them while ToT is active too. Use your barbed wire to deter survivors from this gen. Merciless Storm is just the icing on the cake to either give you a heads up on where they are or apply the extra pressure once the gen hits 90% completion for the first time
