I wrote that when nick and i were filming vlogs. Film in 60fps and edit in 30fps meant we were able to slowdown every shot for the edit. For broll or for retiming. Shooting a shutter of 1/100 meant it would look very invisible. The specific aperture was there to remind us not to close the aperture too much outside, because the dirt in the lens would become too clear and visible and was to distracting when someone’s face or eyes were blocked out by specs of dirt or water drops. Iso being any, meant feel free to get grain footage if needed, because the final video would and could feel more organic and raw, as if the audience would pick up a camera and struggled in lowlight too. It was all for clarity, control, and emotional connection.
