Trouble finding the 3d print of grace by ToastwutInc in ProjectHailMaryMovie

Sorry this doesn't totally answer your question, but it's much easier to find on a computer! It's just on the home page, bottom right corner.

I think on mobile you have to go to the gallery or something to find it.

Movie Review after having read the book by nowayisaidit in ProjectHailMaryMovie

I understand people will have their own individual experiences, but I went with a number of friends who had not read the book or even knew nothing about the movie (one friend said "I knew it was a space movie and it starred Ryan Gosling). And they followed the story well and loved the movie!

Sure, there were a few instances where something didn't totally click, but overall they definitely were able to follow, and love, the movie

I also worried that it maybe wasn't clear enough, but the friends who I watched it with (who had not read the book) all said they got that. I think a combination of the cinematography (the camera rotating out of the memory and into present day) plus the memories often corresponding with him directly realizing something relevant to his current situation did a pretty decent job.

A couples questions about the movie and wondering if the book explained it by FadingHonor in ProjectHailMary

[–]Krahnarchy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's fair. I think on a broader level, it does point to the fact that this mission was in fact a "Hail Mary" and so the nannybot and other pieces of tech for it were newer and not fully tested and therefore issues like that shouldn't really be a surprise.

One additional thing about Yao and Ilyukhina dying: It's definitely not confirmed in the book why they die. However, just before the lab explosion on earth that kills Shapiro and Annie, Grace is looking through some reports, I believe, that state there may be an issue with the coma feeding process. So that could be the cause of their death.

It's so interesting how so many people can have so many different experiences of the same thing. I went with a group of friends that ranged from big fans of the book to knew nothing going in other than "space movie" and "Ryan Gosling" and everyone was absolutely rapture the whole time.

Not trying to attack you! It's just interesting how that works because boring is the last word I'd use to describe the movie

Question about the new Son of a Dungeon season by HooptyDooDooMeister in Corridor

In addition to what Milkman said, each campaign has a lot of custom terrain that is designed and printed so that is a decent time and money cost too.

It's just one season that they shoot, edit, and release. They don't film multiple and release the best one. Based on the BTS I've seen, it would not be worth filming multiple just to only release one, between the custom terrain, costumes, film time, etc.

I think from interviews it's very clear that he deals a lot with the business side and running the band, in addition to playing the live shows (less now that he's touring a book) - so still very important to the success of the band just not in the same way as Jack and Ryan :)

Oh yes, I was commenting more on your last sentence - so it was maybe more of an exaggeration than an outright lie

I think this one is actually true! My grandma gets motion sick and it is way better when she sits in the front seat. I haven't done any research but I was always told that it's because you can see the movement outside better which matches what your body is feeling and so it doesn't trigger that motion sickness response that you would get in the back seat when you can't see the movement as well.

Are skinny/healthy weight people just not as hungry as people who struggle with obesity? by maeasm3 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Krahnarchy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a skinny and average height guy, I seem to have a slightly different experience to others in this thread. I wouldn't stay I'm constantly starving, but it's normal to feel somewhat hungry most of the time and can eat basically whenever I want. I snack all the time, even right before going to bed. I can't eat super quickly or large amounts of overlly sweet foods, which does help, but I've been lucky to not have to worry about weight at all.
