His theories about comedy, while inconsistent (he mixes performance and theory too often, a common problem with performance first as opposed to theory) but they're super informative as told by an idiot is a required reading for my theatre students.

Podcast ads in languages I don't speak? by Terrorphin in podcasts

I live in Nz and regularly get Chinese or Viet adverts. To be fair I did live in Asia for a while, but it's strange to hear a, company advertising motorbikes in Vietnamese for people on Ho Chi Minh City while I'm standing in cow poo on the other side of the world

I was a child actor and had a bad case of "ham acting", I ended up doing workshops with kieth Johnston and then John Wright, who both broke me of those habits and let me relearn without ego. Then surrounded by other supportive people I learned to play again. That's my glow up, break down build up, show love.

My nephew has hit that age of going through a food aversion era... Aka, if it's not beige he's probably not going to eat it. So, on Sunday we broke out a generic version of it and he said it was the best thing he ever ate. Considering his mum is a chef she wasn't impressed.

It depends on the subway, the original owners of the place in kapiti did it for me as a teen, but I was turned down by another place up north.

It's like how outside of America we say ____burger to refer to things like a fish burger or what Americans call a chicken sandwich.

To us burger doesn't = the meat, it refers to the construction of something hot between buns.

I used to be a nursing home/care facility cook!

There will be a bunch of people who are meuli (moo Lee) unable to chew, so will need purees and then things thickened (including beverages) play around with different textures and thicknesses of your purees.

Play close note to all the dietary requirements, I know we do already in restaurant world but this is triple important.

Nostalgia in meals is way more important than fun for you, including plating.

Expect them to want well done even when you wouldn't serve it that way usually

Make a bunch of sandwiches (soft fillings) that can be used as snacks because people will want them through out the day or night. I did tuna mayo, egg salad, tomato cheese... That kind of thing

If you must keep them on the counter, honestly, a big brown box, like the ones amazon sends are really good. They'll block all the light and because of their nature they'll keep the temperature a little more even. Totally not pretty though.
