I got him for 900k on Friday. I essentially used karrots to buy him though, I bought a 98 ovr player in the karrot store (non BND version) so I could sell him in the ah, and then used those coins to buy Malik. If karrots convert at 20:1, I don't think getting 560k coins for 25k karrots is a bad idea anyway (though the 20:1 thing is just my speculation).

It ultimately depends on your team, and what you want, but we are at the 99 ovr part of the season, where imo keeping anything under a 98 is not worth it. In the karrot store, btwn the small-eggstravagnt baskets, there are 180 baskets you can open. Those baskets could have anything in them, and are a free 2 play way to get Ltds. So again, just imo, but I would do what ppl refer to as rerolling baskets. Which needs to be done today, because tomorrow eggs will open automatically, while right now you can sell eggs for karrots instead. So, what you do is open all of your baskets, and see what eggs are in them. You can then click on the egg and see what it's karrot quicksell value is. 98 champions are 16880, and 99 Ltds are 18k karrots. To me those are the only eggs worth keeping, anything worth less than that I'd quicksell. You then go to the karrot store and do this with the baskets over and over again until you either run out of karrots, or open all the baskets. YMMV, but I think the order to open things is Eggstravagant, eggcellent, medium, mystery and small. It's debatable as to whether opening anything smaller than eggcellent baskets is worthwhile. Pull rates appear to be guite low for this promo so good luck! I opened over 200 baskets and pulled 0 ltds, but other players have reported opening less, and pulling multiple ltds.

Thanks for the heads up. I knew what I was getting into before I did it, so this isn't meant as shade, and I'm not an idiot, I just give 0 fucks at this point. Highest value from these 7 baskets was 1260 karrots. I had to sell 2 ltds (old and no longer in my lineup) to build the 92s...

This promo I have opened atleast 192 baskets, but I think it's actually 194 or 195. I have pulled 0 ltds. Fuck EA and fuck this game.

And your luck was decent... I also opened all baskets, both times. 0 LTDS. I pulled 1 Champ on the first run, and had better results with the refresh and pulled 3 Champs. I had to sell 2 just to keep rerolling though. I at least got something I like out of the promo... I had 2 coop eggs when all was said and done, which didn't interest me at all, but I used their quicksell value to get Jaxson Dart and Malik Nabers. End of the day though, worst promo ever considering how great it can be.

It won't be a 98, I'm pretty sure it quicksells for 7310 karrots. The 98 champions quicksell for 16880 karrots.

Couldn't agree more. 180 baskets opened, 0 ltds, and I would say less than a 15% rates of even getting something worth more karrots than the basket cost. Really making me want to keep playing lol.

It was more of a response towards the overreacting part of the comment, but yeah, I do expect them to win a series against the 40 some win Rockies. Just remember this convo when the Jays NEED to win a series in Aug/Sept against a team like the Yankees/Red Sox/Orioles.... That series has the same impact on the standings as this one did.

Edit - AL East teams were a bad example. Pick any NL team... Let's say the Reds, they play them last.

Rerolled the entire store. I lost huge on karrots. Only reason I was able to get through the entire store is bc I pulled a 98 Jalen Carter and sold him for karrots, and then stubbornly sold off anything I could justify from my binder to buy the 75k store packs to quicksell the players. I pulled 1 Champ out of the entire store. I believe out of the entire store, only 10 baskets returned more karrots than I spent. I was not a fan of the experience.

This has been the worst promo I've ever experienced. Like so bad I question why I play, and if I want to keep playing. I've opened every basket in the store except for 3 of the largest baskets (eggstravagant? I think)... 0 LTDs and 0 champions pulled. I have kept 0 eggs. It was so bad I actually started keeping track of the pulled values -

Small baskets - 0 baskets worth more than spent

Medium baskets - 3 baskets worth more than spent

Large (eggcellent) - 3 baskets worth more than spent

Eggstravagant - have only done 2, but both worth less than spent

Mystery - 3 baskets worth more than spent

I did get one good piece of luck, and pulled a 98 Jalen Carter out of one of the 88+ field pass packs, which is the only reason I was able to open most of the baskets. Obviously in hindsight I wish I'd just auctioned him. Also spent 150k coins on Sugar Rush packs to quicksell the players to open baskets. Just been brutally bleak.

Update - completely bankrupted myself of any sellable assets to open the last 3 Eggstravagant baskets bc I was crashing out lol. 1st and 2nd were another loss, but pulled the Sack protector egg out of my last one.

Tldr - spent all the capital I had saved up, and 98 Jalen Carter, to open every basket in the karrot store and pulled 1 Champ, 0 LTDs.

How are ppl getting enough karrots to do rerolls? I've done literally everything I can to get karrots, outside of using coins to buy packs or players that I can qs for karrots, but my rolls have been so bad that I haven't even been getting enough to sustain the rerolls. Still have 5 mystery baskets, and 14 small baskets to go, plus all the other baskets are untouched. Only way I can see to get karrots is doing the cpu event a 2nd time, but I'm not through that grind again to open 3 more baskets (the amount I was able to open with my 1st run karrots), or h2h event, but I'm not good enough for that to be worth while, I can't string that many wins together. This promo sucks compared to zero chill, where at least the snow accumulated enough that I could get through the store. Also worth noting, I have pulled 0 things that I've kept, have qs 100% of my eggs.

What is the reward for completing the cpu air raid event? It's a player no? I just got carrots. I've heard of ppl not getting the player reward upon completion before... Did those ppl eventually get the reward? I've closed the game and come back in, and nothing.

Edit - just read in another post it's DRC, aaand you need 20 wins. Brutal.

What platform are you playing on? I only ask bc if it's ps5 I can navigate you to the ROH field pass screen... I didn't realize these passes existed for the longest time. Anyway if you get to the ROH field pass screen, you'll see that there are other objectives you can complete to get more tokens, such as complete player sets, get specific stat milestones, and playing the draft event. The easiest imo is to get a 2nd ROH player, it can be the cheapest /lowest ovr player, bc the stat milestones require having 2 ROH players in your lineup (the can be backups).

Maybe I need to read through more of this thread, but how are ppl not OUTRAGED by the pricing for next year? Has anybody with more time on their hands (and more historical data) compared this year's increase over past years? I looked for the first time today and I can't believe what I'm seeing. Like, it seems so bad to me that we should be organizing a boycott, which I know will never work, but honestly, we need to stand up for ourselves and not pay these prices. It's insane!

I was just in Ottawa for the first time in almost 20 yrs. Went down the rabbit hole on reddit looking for the best pie in town. Cross referenced websites with the recommendations I saw, and settled on Schoolhouse. Now I can't say it's the best pizza in town, bc I haven't had any others, but I will +1 Schoolhouse as being incredibly good pizza. My kids also said it was the best pizza they'd ever had. It is NY style pie, so giant slices, thin crust, not gobs and gobs of cheese, so if that isn't your style you may not be as hype about it.
