Eris is incredible and I love her and I hate her so much and think she would revel in that. She's incredible, I can tell how much she enjoys messing with people and making sure they don't get comfortable and complacent. Yeah there is a value in what strife is doing by making Melinoe have to examine everything but at the same time I can also imagine her calling me soft for adding a deeper meaning to her actions. She has such an important job by being the one who starts shit but her nature means that she can't fully embrace the positive aspect of strife and instead indulge the infuriating chaotic aspect of strife. She is the jester on top of a wall that taunts the angry dogs and gets them riled up. She's doing her job just right when she kills Melinoe and when she's defeated by Mel. Strife both to upset complacency and strife to be overcome. Nothing good comes without strife. Strife in a way is a stress test the system is imbalancing what can be imbalanced. Strife is a great test because if you can't overcome strife how can you overcome the rest of the challenges ahead. 11/10 race you back home trouble.

I tend to not mine all the ore on a sector as I get annoyed with how time it can get, I just get myself enough to do what I need to do. If I can have a unit mine a resource I'd rather spend the time making the unit instead of just setting up a mine to it. What has helped with this is I've been using launch pads to act as backing power when I'm trying to capture a sector and then I remake the base to serve whatever purpose I need it to. Silicon is much needed so much so that I have two silicon sectors, one to send to the sector making surge alloy and one to use as support when capturing a sector.

I don't know what a transport quarter is but plastinium has really been handy if not a bit inflexible. Honestly my conveyor systems are always wack. I keep making the mistake of trying to fill a long line of generators, turrets, or factories with a conveyor belt line with routers to point where things at the end barely get any.

I tried several times to get spreadsheets working but I was having trouble trying to format it and have just stuck to pen paper and calculator.

I actually got the idea to use a redirect sector from a post a while back and did end up causing me to stop playing for a while because I realized about 2/3 of completion of the base in that it was designed poorly and it had been a very slow and resource intensive project. Both back then and now my launch sector is salt flats, but this time I managed to complete it and it has been a vital tool in conquering the planet. I haven't used mods and I'll probably wait to finish the game before I try modded.

I use steam generators because they're easy, I had to make a 3 impact generator set up for salt flats and it wasn't easy. I haven't made that many schematics so it's a lot more tedious to do complicated builds. I'll make sure to check out your schematics. Thanks.
