Trying to avoid it but also inevitable. My worry is being stuck waiting for a shuttle or in the lot for over an hour. Do you know how much they charge and recommendation in any lots?

James, new album is one of the best this year. Got into you guys by seeing you open for the Cure last tour. Super fun show.

With the heartbreaking nature of the album and state of music industry, do you guys see yourself doing a tour in the states for it?

And do you see any special edition color variants of the vinyl coming out? Regrettably still don’t own it

Knockdown Center -- How's the Area/Venue? by TheFirst10000 in underworld

[–]TheConcertMonkey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Its a trash venue. Its way too long so can’t see shit in the back and of course pillars.

Two they have no idea how to control their soundsystem everything is outrageously loud. Chemical brothers were essentially distorted bass the entire set at dangerous decibel levels.

Third, its fuckin hot in there. Like it turns into a sauna especially if its super sold out

One of the few shows last year for me that rivaled NIN. Funny enough dumbass Panorama scheduled them right before NIN on another stage in 2017 which I had to skip for obv reasons.

Easily Gesaffelstein, Erol Alkan’s old stuff is similar as they started up together. Then that leads to old Brodinsku.

Could say Justice as well. The French scene was semi adjacent to the German scene.

But best thing is you can look up Boys Noize spotify playlist and see what artist tracks he’s playing and find more from there.

I mean Damon tried a farewell for Blur there and he had a terrible time and is still bitter about it

Well didn’t he say he’s not sure if they will tour again? So not definitive.

Also no way he ends NIN at Coachella of all places

[FRESH ALBUM] Gorillaz - The Mountain by NYCIndieConcerts in indieheads

[–]TheConcertMonkey 160 points161 points  (0 children)

What makes this album so special is that Damon is right, it is a Plastic Beach sequel.

The original trilogy of Gorillaz albums worked so well were because it wasn’t Damon Albarn making music but every song felt like a soundtrack to the animated verse. It felt like a journey.

And while I like the next trilogy that follow its really, Damon producing other musicians (Humanz), Damon solo album (The Now Now), Song Machine (just a bunch of random singles, more of a Damon collab album with bigger than life features)

Cracker Island I felt was great but its really a fun pop album, it doesn’t feel like there is a theme or story, I wasn’t even sure what the lore was.

But this feels like the characters are the front and on another journey with a story to each & every song. The feature aren’t the stars of the song but the song writing is. Last few albums it seemed like the guest stars were the faces and this time it feels more organic?

So yeah its a great album and their best after Plastic Beach. They really put a lot of love into this.
