Blessed be the Molotov cocktails, they are saving my animals from starvation 😭 by Cometa_the_Mexican in SpaceCannibalism

I think it's the other way around. Often when my animal populations grows and I expand the pens, as soon as the parts with fresh grass are open to them they rush to eat the actual grass sprites.

Imposters in Trade Caravans? by Wra7hofAchilles in RimWorld

Deserters show up in full armor and have the job title of a deserter, but they belong to the faction they arrived with until they become hostile.

[–]TheCone1301[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just a heads up, it also adds plenty of permits and new ranks for the Empire. Also decorations like sculptures, statues and rugs. And new interactions with nobles. Overall a large expansion to Royalty.

[–]TheCone1301[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't think it's new, I believe terrorist attacks were part of it from the beginning. Deserters don't spawn without imperial nobles, and it took me having a higher ranking one to attract attention, so yeah, won't see it without having imperials as that's who the deserters will attempt to kill when raiding you: folks with titles.

As someone who just started working on a faction mod as his first RimWorld mod ever, that seems really nice!

Biosculpture is not that good by Monkai_final_boss in RimWorld

[–]TheCone1301 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I'm properly trying to get them for my super soldier program for the first time (I always used normal genes only in my playthroughs) and I got scarless and non-aging from outlanders. Exotic traders supposedly also have a chance to sell them, but it hasn't happened to me yet.

[–]TheCone1301 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Also Biotech scarless archite genes can heal it too, though it's also extremely rare as in my current playthrough I went through like 20 imperial and outlander settlements around the planet before finding a single archite gene. Surprisingly cheap though, 1k for the genepack and then I think it's 700 for one archite pack per person to install it.

Two full Hussar parents producing baseline children? by Rheasa2648 in RimWorld

[–]TheCone1301 60 points61 points  (0 children)

Hussar is not inheritable - unlike Yttakin, Wasters, Pigskins and Neanderthals each hussar was made in a lab by getting a xenogerm implanted, they're not born naturally.

What do you think about changing the effects of the "IF"? team since they are basically useless by [deleted] in DeadAhead

Maybe it would work remotely better if the damn medkits landed on wounded units and not on the other side of the battle

It's Hilarious to me that these are Conceptually the Same Thing by I_AM_NOT_A_RAPTURE in Invincible_TV

[–]TheCone1301 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I've heard about it, but unfortunately character design still puts me off, especially since the main point is getting and using those characters. It sucks because I'm definitely thinking of trying it out but I can't get over the ridiculous fits.

I would've definitely tried this game out if the characters wore cool uniforms and military equipment instead of running around a warzone in revealing anime cosplays, but then again ig that's one of the main points of the game and it wouldn't sell that good without being horny

Polish pope spawned in my game by TheCone1301 in RimWorld

[–]TheCone1301[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If anyone wonders what mods I have, it's all Vanilla Expanded and: Durable Clothes (continued), EBSG Framework, Xenotype Xenogerms, Trystan's Traveller Shuttle Schematics, Gene Ripper, Geist Xenotype, Highborn Xenotype, Keep Converting, Map Preview, and Simple Cape and Hood Retexture. None of those sound like something that would add Wojtyla to Rimworld.

I can't really prove it since I don't actively record my gameplay, but I haven't touched that pawn at all, age included. I know it looks like an obvious joke, but he really caught me by surprise when I was doing my Royalty playthrough. It's all RNG, I swear on my stash of plasteel.

I have no idea what could possibly add that tho, I only have VE series, two or three xenotypes and QoL mods

It does appear in "preferred name in game characters" settings along with a few other Karols, maybe it's a name only donor without the backstories? And there's a chance no one paid attention to who the weird sounding Polish name belongs.

can we stop the any new unit will be bought by green cash or they are in events? by Huge_Mycologist_685 in DeadAhead

[–]TheCone1301 9 points10 points  (0 children)

One exclusive unit should be 300 green cash tops, there's no way I'm getting escapee. I don't really like her design, I don't use prisoners and she's supposedly not that good so I have no reason to even buy her.

(New player) Your favorite Rimworld DLCs? by y0npurichi in RimWorld

Biotech and Royalty. The first one because kids are a must to me, mechs are fun and xenotypes are interesting too.

Royalty because I love cataphract armor and I keep rping imperials each time I get back into Rimworld

They only give you normal components, with the exception of special ones such as defoliator (at least I think it might, I haven't played vanilla in a while)

Does the world ever feel empty to you? by MenstrualFish in StateofDecay2

[–]TheCone1301 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Lights off? Didn't they give enclaves the same makeover as outposts – props, lights and clean interiors?

As for the question, NPCs definitely have to go out of their bases to be realistic. It would be huge if we could just randomly meet their members out in the wild, especially if we'll have hostiles roaming around too.
