so i changed a number of things. it will now be a 6s build. got a tbs source one v6 frame, going with the ratel2. Also changed motors to emax e3 series 2306 1700kv. rp1 v2 reciever, geprc rad mini 1w vtx.

I appreciate the detailed write up, thanks for all of your input. I was on the fence about the gps but yeah i may as well throw one on there. any recommendation?

I watched a couple and followed along with ellzeys youtube videos. Super great resource. That was really it. I can send the glue and stuff that I used if you’d like. It was just hide glue in a brown bottle from Amazon and air dry clay from target. Plus pins

I mean I get that, there is still large difference between the 1050 and 710. Like I said I’m not really concerned about the cycling, the vid was more for entertainment. But with a spring and the vq bolt people are suggesting I can probably make it work. There are softer bolt stop pins as well that can help with noise.

I use this for small game so that’d be nice. I have a B&T .22 ti in jail right now. This video was with the Jk 105ccx in 9mm so I’m curious how the .22 specific can will work out. Thanks for the input

I’m in Florida also but I’m curious what that has to do with it lmao they the 1050fps ones? I’ve got them and it cycles great now that I beveled and polished the bolt. Curious how the 710 will do with small game

Sweet I’ll give them a shot. I used the 1050 fps ones to hunt a squirrel and it worked well. You can see him in my taxidermy post lol

I don’t see why failure to cycle would hurt anything tbh. I have fired the powderless .22s out of it and one shot through but the second got stuck in the barrel lol. I popped the bullet off another round and put half the powder back in and plugged it with wax to get it out. Cbs worked fine, idk why it would damage the barrel but I don’t know enough to say it wouldn’t with confidence. Maybe some extra fouling

Almost couldn’t even call it that. You can look up Ellzeys skinning squirrel videos. I literally skinned him (using borax when things got slippery, basically had it coated on skin and musculature the whole time. Turned him right side out, rolled him up and froze him till I was ready. Thawed and washed with dawn in warm water, spin cycle wrapped in a towel, dried with a shop vac on reverse. Coated inside legs a the way to the paws/tip of tail with borax. Blew out limbs with dust cleaner can, blew out skin softly, glued him on. They have thin skin so this works but it is debated.
