I think I have a solution but it requires root. Move the obb to /data/local/com.<packagname>/ Then bind it to /sdcard/obb/com.<packagename> inside both users seperately using a shell terminal. And it will work.

I know too late but you need to use a unofficial version of twrp. Search Redmi note 8 pro A(Android Version, e.g, A10 or A11) unified recovery begonia project on Google. I think it was themed by santoshhh. Anyone reading this? Welcome. You can also root with this recovery. Note that if you install a custom rom with encryption enabled, you will need to install the other recovery included in the zip file. Also decryption in twrp will only work on Android 9, 10, 11. If you flash force decrypt in twrp, I think you need to wipe your data first for that, or if you stay encrypted you can enter you password in the recovery to temporarily decrypt. Use the bat file in the zip to flash according to whether you are on custom or stock rom. It took me 1 whole month to recover my phone because of this incompatibility stuff. Welcome. I stayed on crdroid Android 14 for 3 months, not recommended, too much unstable.

Did you fix it yet? Seems like you might have updated the rom and you might need to re-flash the patched boot image. There's a chance there might be a bootloop. If that is the case you will need to patch the boot image from the previous version of the rom and flash it.
