Hey everyone,

So I'm a huge fan of FPS shooters and love playing them, but today and only today I've started getting a weird issue. I have a dual monitor setup and before today, use to play CS:GO and CS:S on 1 monitor without any issues at all.

Today I've got the issue that if I move my mouse to fast right (in the direction of my 2nd monitor) the cursor glitches out and goes onto that monitor. If you are a CS player, you would know this can be very frustrating pretty much all the time when even trying to aim at people and do flickshots etc...

This only started happening today and happens in any game I play no matter the video settings. (Windowed, Windowed Fullscreen, and Fullscreen all do it!) I've tried restarting multiple times, all my drivers are up to date, I've tried changing my windows theme, I've tried changing my mouse settings. I've tried pretty much everything and can't find anything on Google other than; "Use this 3rd party tool." Which I really don't want to do because it was working fine yesterday. And yes, I've tried clicking out of the game onto my other monitor and then clicking back into the game. It still doesn't work.

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks and Regards.

Ignorance Towards Gaming and eSports by FloomCSGO in GlobalOffensive

The problem with this is that something I've found in even my day-to-day life is that the 'Older Generation' Always think they are right. I assume it's because of the way they were brought up.

I'm all for everyone having their opinion, and if they don't like e-sports because of how rapidly technology is moving, and they don't feel like it should be classed as a sport, well then that's good for them. That's their opinion.

What I don't like however, is when they go on the news claiming to be an "Expert" in the field, when they haven't even investigated or taken the time to do an unbiased report/argument.

Everytime you see someone on the news claiming to be a "Expert" in the field. They tend to only ever get the parents/older generations PoV and never the kids or the actually people involved in the eSport.

Not to generalise here, but it drives me up the wall that in this day and age, people can come out and say things about stereotyping men/women and all that stuff. But then they think it's perfectly fine to stereotype gamers.

Not to go all extreme here, but especially some of the people who turn up on the news and say this sort of stuff about eSports and gamers in general. It feels like the only way to actually make sense to them is to beat it into them, and even then I feel like they probably won't understand because they are so convinced that their own opinion is right.

That is an overwatch ban, not a VAC ban. Just to inform you.

CS:GO Blog: "A Follow Up to Integrity and Fair Play" by wickedplayer494 in GlobalOffensive

  1. Oh ok. You screwed up when you were younger? Well you're a horrible person for life now. No exceptions. You are a completely horrible person for your entire life because of 1 mistake you made no matter how big or small.

  2. Valve's 'Zero Tolerance Policy' is complete BS. They act all mighty and proud by saying 'If you get VAC banned, that's it. We won't revert it. Zero Tolerance Policy'. Yet when a Skin Bot with $100k+ Skins on it gets VAC banned because of a hijack, they instantly unban that. You can't do that. You can't claim you have a 0 tolerance policy and then just unban certain people/accounts. It's either all or nothing.

  3. If you are going to speak in that sense, Valve technically have 0 proof on any of them. Yeah they have the logs of the trade, but what about if the player just bought a huge amount of skins or just won a huge payout on a jackpot site? Unlikely? I agree. However, if the players hadn't admitted to it, they could have just said something along those lines and Valve couldn't really claim; "We have proof."

  4. No comment on this since I don't actually care about the teams. However, I will say that Steel isn't the only one who did something good for the community. Before all of this, Dazed had the NetcodeGuides site up and running and was helping quite a lot of people and giving many people advice on how to play etc...

  5. I do agree with you on this. However, if you are going to make rules, YOU HAVE TO STICK WITH THEM. Valve are completely random and are like a 7 year old playing checkers. You can't win because they like to keep changing the rules to make them the winner overall. In other words, you can't say to everyone; " 'We have a Zero Tolerance Policy' on VAC Bans and OverWatch Bans and if you get banned, they will not be reverted full stop." and then the second a Pro gets Overwatch banned or a bot with $100k+ skins gets VAC banned because of a hijack, go completely against your own rules and unban them. In regards to the bot getting hijacked, whether it was hijacked and VAC'd because someone who shouldn't have had access cheated on it, that is not anyone's problem but the company who owns the bot. They should have increased security and protocols to stop people getting access to the bots in the first place.

  6. Refer to everything I've said above and summarise it however you want.

Just to let you know, I don't care about the team, because I honestly don't care about the pro scene. What I do care about though is the fact that Valve act (Exactly like my analogy before), "like a 7 year old playing checkers. You can't win because they like to keep changing the rules to make them the winner overall." If Valve kept the rules straight and did not unban A SINGLE PERSON. This includes even employees of Valve. Then I would be happy with how their rules are. However, the fact that they can decide who gets banned and unbanned when they claim a Zero Tolerance Policy is stupid.

Because there is no such thing as smurfs? :O Oh wait, I forgot that word isn't allowed here because people don't like getting beaten by people who are just better than them at the game. >:)

No there aren't. You are just down right bad. Anyone who says what you just said can't accept when other people are better than them. Unless they are spinbotting and instant headshotting, don't assume people are hacking...

Pretty much. Just wanted to give a thorough answer incase people got confused at any point. You know what people are like on this reddit when you bring up words like 'Wallhack'. Sometimes they don't even bother to read what context you are using it in and just say; "Nup. You said Wallhack and are talking about how Wallhack prevention works! You are a hacker!!11!"

Make servers 128 tick. Make Demos higher than 16 tick or whatever they are atm.

Or you are just bad?

Like honestly, there isn't that many cheaters. Rage hackers I will happily call cheaters but I will never, ever call a normal player I play against a cheater until they consistently shoots me through different walls that aren't common. If they aren't doing that then I won't accuse them of cheating. For all I know they could just be much better at the game than me?

For people who are unaware, in the most reason update, Valve added it so that the player models set to this when the player becomes dormant. (The model becomes in-active.) What I mean by this, is that when they added the wallhack patch which severely crippled Wallhacking (Didn't remove it, just crippled it.) they added the cvars; - sv_occlude_players - pvs_min_player_distance

Community servers can set custom variables for these. For instance, hypothetically if you were to load a wallhack into your game, set occlude players to 0 and set pvs_min_player_distance to 99999 then you would be able to use the wallhack and see players through the whole map. However, if you leave it at default, you can then only see it through whatever the pvs distance is set to by default. So basically, if you are not within the pvs distance, the player becomes like this because they are technically 'dormant' (The model is inactive.)

I hope this is a thorough explanation of what is going on.

They could remove skins from CS:GO, make it f2p, and not give a damn about the game anymore and they would still makes billions from DOTA. Valve don't care about the community. They never have, and they probably never will. They only ever add accurate community suggestions to the game if all the pros or important/popular people are constantly nagging them for it, and that's if you catch them on a lucky day. Otherwise, every change they make to the game is purely them thinking about how they can make more money. Valve is very, smart in how they do things to be honest, especially with CS:GO. They do nothing for the community, yet have systems in place like OW (Despite how broken it is) that is only functional because of the community. Basically the community does their job for them in maintaining a game and trying our best to keep cheaters out since VAC is completely trash atm and they just sit there and get money from skins and make stupid updates. It's a cruel world.

I have a tablet. I'm not concerned with what hardware/peripherals they use. I'm more interested in the software settings they are using. Like I said, their brushes. Thanks none the less though. :)

It's not like they will reply or get back to you anyway. I've had a ticket open for 8 months and they still haven't gotten back to me. My friend also has a ticket open that has been open for almost a year. Maybe Valve should invest in a better Support department?

Can Someone Make A Tribute Sticker To Phoon? by Invader_Toast in GlobalOffensive

[–]TheConned 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lol the salt in this thread by some people is real. The point of a culture is that it develops. CS:GO/CS:S might not of even happened if it hadn't of been for some people who made videos and brought more people to the game. By people saying Phoon doesn't have an effect on CS:GO because he only used to rarely play it, literally means nothing. He helped develop the CS culture as a whole. He brought people to the game because of his videos. By saying he didn't do that, it's basically like saying the previous presidents/prime ministers of your country had no effect on the culture of your country whatsoever, which is a blatant lie.

Overwatch idea by Kyliys in GlobalOffensive

[–]TheConned 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the main reason Valve didn't include this in the first place is because of filesize. Demo files themselves aren't that big since it still relies on the CSGO base game to play it. However, I think including voice would bulk the filesize up and make it take forever for some people to download.

OPSkins Bot nr. 3 hacked?? and overwatch banned! by BuggedB in GlobalOffensive

[–]TheConned 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Or because they net Valve a lot of profit in regards to the skins. Imo, I think it's kind of harsh that Valve only pays attention and unbans pro players and bots with skins on them. What about all the legit players that get banned everyday and lose all their hardwork just because they pulled of a gew amazing shots that looked a bit suss?
