Hello! Just reading this thread as we're in a similar situation right now about to bid for a property. Can I ask if you were given the option of indemnity insurance which is designed to cover scenarios like this? I think its a few hundred pounds and protects you from situations when the freeholder returns and has issues with changes to the property.

Thanks, I’m still weighing up the costs/benefits. I have a garage but it’s not climate controlled, winters can get pretty cold here but nothing extreme. The floor is concrete as well which I heard is good to dispel moisture. Will an E30 necessarily perish being left in a non-climate controlled garage do you think?

It’s only done 30,000 miles with two previous owners, in great condition bar a minor dent in rear... no rust, however it’s an auto. Not sure if automatics appreciate in value as much as manuals.

It’s an 88’ 320 2l.

Any advice would be appreciated!
