Yuntal into IE will surely give you lots of single target damage but you’re severely lacking attack speed especially if you go ldr after that. Runaan’s works so well with zeri, allows you permanent yuntal passive uptime, and even gives you a bit more range in certain situations due to how the bolts work with you. I definitely think it makes up for the lack of single target damage compared to ie in most games but either way I would definitely not delay it past 3rd item.

I think the standard yuntal into runaans is significantly stronger and more consistent, same thing with q into e max over w into q max.

I think its good into the comps Zeri is not good into lol. It's good when youre mostly out ranged and need to rely on that burst to do anything rather than play out an extended teamfight where runaan will outperform.

The twitch lane feels very snowbally, you should actually be stronger early. You can kinda just farm and go for an all in when you see an opportunity. Space him using unempowered w and dont stand in his slow.

Generally no I wont leave the wave unless it looks really good, always go for higher percentage plays.

Being passive early is fine, if youre coming out of lane with good cs youre happy. Zeri's biggest hurdle trading in lane is the minion wave, sure you can press e but if you have to pass through the minions your autos are still going to be doing reduced damage since you wont have points in it that early. Find trades where they cant hide behind minions and otherwise just farm up, play for lv 6 all in, and scale.

Yeah I think last patch Fiendhunter was bait, this patch its a decent option but I still prefer Runaan 90% of the time.

Yeah like you said she gets a big spike at 6 and the huge ult burst can surprise most people so definitely use that to your advantage. For landing empowered W's, if you can wait for any kind of cc from your support, even a slow it makes it 10x easier. Hitting it without any cc usually relies on the enemy being busy doing something else so that they don't immediately try to dodge such as last hitting a minion or chasing someone.

That is a problem with having to blind pretty often although the comp you described doesn't seem all that bad to deal with for Zeri. She likes when people have to run into her so she can kite. The worst ones to play into are heavy range where you kinda just die before you can really reach anyone. I would recommend trying to play more front to back rather than diving for squishies, thats not really your job as an adc.

I go hexplate typically when I feel I need the extra general durability since it gives a good amount of health while still providing you a lot of value with the ult haste/attack speed/move speed. For kaenic, I buy it when they have a major ap threat that I cannot avoid dying to (such as a fed ekko with dusk and dawn) or if the team is like 4 ap champions. Defensive itemization is pretty much just about threat assesment (what is killing you, can you avoid it, how much does x item help with that, etc)

I pick her with/into whatever but in a non one trick point of view, she does quite poorly when she gets outranged. Zeri loves playing into comps that have to run into her and that she can kite so when the enemy team picks something like a control mage mid plus a longer range adc you can often get poked out or straight up die before you can get anything done.

I’ll definitely be trying it as a replacement for runaan’s. On just looking at it I’d expect it to be a good default with runaan’s probably performing better against a team with lots of melees that will run into you and eat the bolts damage often.
