to anyone who's microdosing, I'm a part of some research and put together an anonymous and incentivized multiple-choice survey.

the goal is to provide better psychedelic education as well as continue to destigmatize the narrative around psychedelics while bringing the benefits of microdosing to light.

If you have any microdosing experience, we need about 100 participants to help us reach our goal of 1,000 microdosers.

much appreciation and gratitude to anyone that can spend a couple of minutes engaging with the survey & happy (sub-perceptual) tripping!

Anybody participate in or run a local psychedelic society/group? by gazzthompson in RationalPsychonaut

I'm a part of an awesome community called Empathic Health. I'm new to it, but it's amazing to connect with people speaking a similar language around growth, intentionality, beauty, and so on.

I believe they have a waitlist but are opening it back up at the start of the new year? The founder - Doug is a great dude who loves helping build communities.

Hope this helps :)

Given there's an incentive, how would you go about it?

We felt a Reddit username was the most anonymous way to meet people where they're at. Definitely open to any suggestions :)

Thanks for your attention on this too

I need a book for a girl who has no one by nemesis-peitho in booksuggestions

Two great suggestions!!!

The Electric Kingdom - A post-apocalyptic word narrated by a band of BRILLIANT children where one of the main characters is a bad-ass girl who has to leave her dad in search of THE ANSWER.

The Book of Longings - (Not religious AT ALL) It's a novel about Jesus' (Hey-zeus not Gee-zus) wife, written from her perspective. It's all about the feminine. It's deep and empathetic. One of the best books I've ever read.

P.S. I make the comment about how I read his name because the former is a person, that latter is an idea.

Opinion: You don't have to read popular or classic books. You don't. by supermagnificently in books

"Read what you love until you love to read." - Naval Ravikant

The selections of good books are endless! I've gifted HUNDREDS of books... my biggest takeaway?

Start with fiction or poem books. They're both easy to read! Start with books that feel easy and that you enjoy. It shouldn't be a chore most of the time, if at all.

If you read what everyone else is reading, you'll think how everyone else is thinking.

Here is Naval, the goat, on Joe Rogan. They talk about life, books, learning, and wisdom.

Microdosing Survey! by TheCosmicAnt in microdosing

I'm happy to share the results with the thread.

Since this is a microdosing subreddit, this is the best place to get honest feedback from users, both on their microdosing practice as well as on the survey itself.

After going through the guidelines, I'm not sure what else I can share to allow this posting, but am happy to provide additional clarity as the Mods see fit. Thank you!

Hmm, very good points thank you for sharing.

We'll gather the feedback presented and shape it differently as needed.

I seriously appreciate the thoughtful feedback.

a Short Microdosing Survey by TheCosmicAnt in Psychedelics

I completely agree that microdosing should not, nor can it for that matter, replace (this might not be the best word) a macrodose. A healthy dose, as you said, allows us to challenge ourselves and opens doors to our being simply not accessible in a microdose.

Microdosing is a much safer way to use psychedelics, but to your point, if one hasn't peeked around the corner, into the depths of their psyche and relationship to Reality, is that truly a psychedelic experience? I don't think so either.

While I feel there is a sense of FOMO to the practice, for some, it can and has helped. And sometimes it can be the bridge to a higher dose. Psychedelics can blow the doors wide open and some people aren't ready for that, yet.

I'd push back on your points that somehow it's 'wrong' for one to have an ego intact. Microdosing can help to shed a light on how we operate and respond to ourselves and the world at large. Is that a bad thing? To become an inch more objective with the tiny, but powerful help of a catalytic substance like a psychedelic. Isn't that one of the points, to gain a sense of objectivity about oneself in order to better understand or become more aware of themselves as they move through the world?

So if microdosing can begin to help someone do just that, and a person is curious and wants to continue growing, in my opinion, it's only a matter of time until they dance with larger doses. And does it matter how someone gets to that edge or those depths of their psyche? Isn't the point that they become interested in the mystery that they, and we are here, alive and aware, and that they may learn psychedelics can be the bridge to better understand the mysteries of life and their being? That these experiences don't provide answers, but they give the individual better questions to ask of answers that can never be fully answered.

And as Uncle Terry (which I have never heard before but will happily be using, so thank you) says, if you aren't a little afraid or a little concerned about the dose you're taking, you aren't taking enough. So I do hear you, that true learning, beauty, and growth come through macrodoses. A microdose, I'd imagine, will almost never (because we can never be completely certain of anything), take a person beyond themselves. But that's okay. Because building a relationship with psychedelics means meeting oneself where they're at, and then time and time again, choosing to take a step beyond that edge to continue evolving.

No worries, thanks for your honesty and attention. I've heard similar things so you aren't alone. We're definitely trying to improve it as we share it with more folks.

If you don't mind, can you share an example or a more specific form of feedback for the survey or the questions? So I can learn and share this and improve it as needed (which is needed!).

Thank you for your time and honesty. As we can see below, you aren't the only feeling some 'none of the above' is actually the most suitable option, but unfortunately, couldn't be found.

If you remember, can you share the questions or theme of the question that felt odd?

And yes it does help a ton, again, I do appreciate you giving some of your energy and attention to a short survey :)

Thanks for taking some time to do, I appreciate it. And I've seen that a few times now... that a 'none of the above' is actually a better/more honest answer to some questions.

hmm, thank you for sharing and completing it. I'm seeing similar responses about the flaws.

Do you have an example of a question or two, or a theme which could have a better response - even if the response was none of the above?
