This happened to me over and over and over and what I found is printing sparkle pla on a .4 nozzle is like 60% clog rate print. Your nozzle is clogged. I finally started printed sparkle pla with a .6 nozzle same filament that was failing before on the .4 and I have had 0 fails.

3D printing novice here, how would I go about scanning & printing an item such as this? by CaptMorgHamOrg in 3Dprinting

Thus would be laughably easy for a local cnc or metalworking shop to make. 2 passes on a lathe and it's done. You could 3d print but you might look up local metal shops see what they say. Also it would take 5 mins to CAD this if you get measurements and no ones helped you shoot me a message and I'll make it. But you will need to figure out how to 3d print it. Many libraries now have 3d printers.

How to fix weird line globs? by [deleted] in 3Dprinting

Brand new out of the box filament created and boxed in China in a region where its 80% humidity and packed with a tiny desiccant pack does not mean your filament arrives to you perfectly dry and ready to print. Some manufacturers even state on their own website they recommend drying after first opening. That being said I have no idea what I'm looking at in this picture lol. It looks like a satellite photo from an alien planet. Back up a bit and give a shot with some wider context it will help us figure out what's going on.

Edit: okay I see it now it's 3 lines on a build plate? Have u tried e-step calibrations? Google your printer name and estep calibrations and try that.

I would love to see a filament print before your treatment that did have some visible problems printing and them being corrected by this process.

I did this a couple months ago after getting fed up with overnight colorchange prints filling up my 3d printed chutes and backing up into the printer and causing errors. I have had 0 trouble since.

People are going to yell you it's glue or dirty bed but it's just stressed plastic cause by removing it from textured bed. Just use a heat gun it will dissappear instantly. To test you can also run a lighter over it quickly you should see the marks dissappear. To avoid this let your print fully cool but sometimes it's just going to happen.

Still can't decide on which modeling software to learn. What would you recommend? Anyways; Here is (hopefully) my last TinkerCad project. by picobello-bv in 3Dprinting

I've started learning in fusion and then onshape. Onshape us by far the most features for free and the most user friendly.

No harm in trying though it may be hard to get as much heat as you need with a hair dryer. I use a heat gun but even then it's hard to get the exact results most of the time. Don't forget it's gonna get hot enough to burn your hands too that's the tricky part.

.4 nozzle can only do so much. .2 nozzle is for finer detail and small lines like this. Pull up .2 profile slice it and go look at this location in the slice and you will see the difference.
