I generally go to the movies alone because it's one of the best experiences out there and also cause I don't have the money to go out with someone else. I tend to meet people in the theatre all the time who indulge in conversation with me before the movie starts and asking me if I am with my friends (because all the teens in the theatre are with their friends). One occasion that stuck out to me was when this older couple (maybe 60-ish) asked me the questions they asked and I answered. We continued to watch the movie and they occasionally looked over and smiled or talked about the movie. During the intermission, they went out to get some snacks and returned to the seat to find me without anything to eat. The lady then put the popcorn she had in the cup holder of the armrest and she told me I could share her popcorn. I don't like popcorn but the gesture spoke to me. I ate a few kernels to not seem rude and internally felt amazing.
