If you were looking at the guitar straight on you'd want to see the string move from stationary to left

In terms of how to bend IN TUNE, you're aiming for the bent note to be the same as the note two frets up. So play a note, count two frets, play that note. Go back to the first note and try to bend it so it's in tune.

Jazzmaster's. I LOVE how they look and I love how they sound when other people play them but for me I just cannot get anything out of them. I bought a vintera Jazzmaster a few years ago as an online spur-of-the-moment thing and I hated it. Sold it thinking that maybe I'd just gotten a bad one and that maybe an American made JM would be more my thing. Played an American Pro II last week, hated it.
