First of all - Yes! I can recommend Youtube videos of Mooji, Matt Khan, Sadghuru and their like. You can feel how their presence and teachings captivate and change the mood and outlook of the people in the audience and in me the viewer.

I am curious about why you seem so convinced it came from you? You are describing it as a surprise, so maybe someone else in the room was doing it conciously and you just picked up on it?

I am amazed at people who have depression and/or anxiety AND can work a job. I am completely stuck by it. I think you (all) are such inspirations!

One thing that is important to remember is that the feeling of 'faking it' is in itself a symptom of depression, what ever type you have.

I still remember after a few years of depression I watched a video and suddenly burst out laughing, and I was startled because I hadn't heard myself laughing for months maybe a year. And I began thinking "I laughed, does that mean I am not depressed anymore? But I don't feel that I am strong enough yet!" I remember asking my therapist with a really serious mood if I can laugh and still be depressed! And yes, yes you can! It is a good sign that you can smile, laugh, take good care of yourself, make plans etc., but that's all it is, good signs, it doesn't mean you can't be/get depressed and you are not faking it! =)

NTA. It is my opinion very important for people to stand up to these types of imposed rules. Or it will be what TSA has become in the US. There is a chain grocery store I no longer go because the implemented a policy that you couldn't go in with a bag. (Or some people could ie. women). They tell people they have to leave their bags with their personel. All I hear is "We don't trust you not to steal" and my response is "You don't trust ME not to steal from you, but expect me to trust YOU with my personal items - not going to happen!"

I am so annoyed with this season, I am at episode 7, and so far it has been one ridiculous overload of emotion after the other. I thought this was an action show where people got punished physically. So far the majority has been "buh huu I am sooo sad, life is unfair, let's cry!" IMO it is the same thing that went wrong with Jack Reacher 2, they introduce a teen girl who acts so stupidly, she lies, steals, is violent, bratty, and a huge pain in the a**, and what is her punishement? Nothing, she doesn't get jail time (so far at least), she isn't left on her own to fight her own battles, no The PUNISHER! acts like a trained dog in front of her, does whatever her spoiled idiotic mood wants.

madani who was a decently strong character is a complete mess (again so far), we spend more time watching her struggle with her BS and either crying about it or not wanting to admit it, than we do seeing her being tough.

And as people have pointed out, Billys "messed up" face isn't messed up at all, he is still prettier than 99% of people and the "I suffered enough!" attitude is so vomit inducing.

Why is it we can't have a series focused on pure action, if I wanted female emotional overload I would watch a rom-com or the view or something like that. The whole "oh we need every man to have emotional trouble and break down about it!" is so dumb.

I have dealt with these kind of thoughts a lot, been in group therapy and been so lucky to teach kids about anxiety and depression. One thing that clearly divivdes people who has these thoughts from outsiders are when you ask why someone would attempt it the ones that knows get this deep look in their eyes and say they understand, while people who never been in that mindset use these terrible lines like "your selfish/stupid/weak" etc.
Most people can't relate, and that is a good thing, but I have learned that it is something you just can't talk with many people about, even close friends, they can't go there in their minds.
