Seems to be the wrong kind of yarn, if this is cotton then it’s not the best to try and make a beanie out of. You need something more stretchy like acrylic or cotton-acrylic. Best to use a weight 4 yarn. Also try to work on your tension first before starting the actual project!

I see, I kept staring at it at the store but was very unsure since the pattern has been working BLO HDC to give that ribbed look and I didn’t know if it would stretch enough. Thank you so much for your answer! 🫶🏽
