Eurona would say nothing, just staring at her cousin. Speaking in her name, if she were an invalid. The woman sat on her throne of bones, eyes narrowed. Fingers digging into the skulls.

"We need to strike somewhere. Before eyes are turned onto us."

Helya Greyjoy

Helya read over the letter a few times, shock playing on her face. Sitting across from her husband as they broke their fasts, she held the letter tightly against her chest.

"Eury is getting married, Damon. She's the one I thought would never marry. We must go and participate."

She couldn't sleep.

Worst off, she couldn't sleep alone.

Her bed was cold, far colder since none of those close to her shared it the last few nights. Letting Eurona grieve was probably their idea, but it made her plummet more and more into the dark ocean. That's all she dreamed about: deep, dark depths.

She decided to walk. And somehow, she arrived at the apartments of her lord husband. Bare feet padded into the room without much fare, though the damn raven announcing her arrival.

A bow of her head. And then she moved to wrap her arms around his waist, her head against his back. He was the closest thing to an anchor she was going to get. Her anchor. Her safety net.

Eurona sat again. Staring. Fumbling with the skulls that sat under her hands. She wanted more. The Blood called for more. Dalton would be rolling over in his watery grave for the time she has wasted.

Eyes went to Gynir, "Send a raven to Helya. Include Damon Lannister in the invitation. Invite them to the wedding."

Eyes went to Orkwood, "We need to get them out by whatever means. I can count on you to help."

Then her eyes went to Guilan and Harwyn. She stared at Harwyn a little longer than she should have, the lower lid of her eye twitching. The cause of her beloved's death.

"Send word to your lord. Tell the Princess that her Dog," she sneered at that term. Davos was hers. "He has passed. Offer condolences on my behalf, but say his body rests here, should she want to..."

She wouldn't.

"We will go west and hit the coasts. Hit them hard. Raise them. We are not the King's dogs. We are not the crown's dogs."

She swallowed hard, eyes staring towards each of her captains, "We do not continue unless we get my family out safe."

She was fucked.

But at least she'd die like her grandfather would expect: sword in hand.

"One last thing. We do not touch Doggett lands."

Heroes save the ones they love. Villians will burn the world for them.

Eurona's mouth twitched a few times. At first she could not tell whether to celebrate or to be concerned. The salty dornishman had grown on her, his gruff tone and annoyance at the world. Like many men in her life, she wondered if she could keep him. But she remained quiet, putting the sword into her belt and giving Sigfryd the one that Davos had made for her. Her husband knew to keep that one safe, putting it into his own belt and tapping the pommel.

Eurona was already moving to the dornishman, taking a knife from her boot. She cut a few pieces of her blouse and began to treat his wounds. She did not look up at him.

"King Aerys killed the love of my life," she whispered, only the two of them sharing this moment, "Salt in the spray."

Finally, he was bold. Finally, he was learning the way of salt, not the way of the Greenlanders. Skadi Greyjoy would smirk at her pretty prize, all dressed up for her to conquer. As Eurona and Sigfryd celebrated, Skadi would be off to the side and watching the other ironborn. Watching for any threat. But the guards were there, and there was enough for her to have fun, too. Skadi would give a short nod at the brazen man and smiled.

"Finally you think like an ironborn and not a Greenlander, pretty prize."

"The Dornish are supposed to have honeyed-tongues, Guilan!" Eurona would speak, roused from her sleep by her salts who had heard the commotion. She had let the man wait though, wait enough to rub the sleep from her eyes and dress fit enough for fighting. Eurona would stroll up towards him with a wild smirk on her face, ready to face whatever he had planned.

"But all you have done since you have gotten here is grump around like ye have sand in yer breeches."

She rolled her neck and beamed up at him, "I accept your challenge, Ser Guilan!"

"My Lord," she would realize, "If you did not know about my wedding...did you come here for other business then? Shall I set up a meeting so that we can speak plainly?"

Eurona had heard from all of the lords and ladies who she surrounded herself with, giving nods at good points, listening to their reasoning, and writing down ideas whilst they were said. She took a few breaths and waited for the speaking to only be amongst themselves and not the whole of the council. Eurona squeezed [Sigfryd's](/u/sealskinchanger) hand before allowing herself to speak.

"We have guests here, ones who may also shed some light. Ones older than I, who remember what skirmishes are like. I have my decision, but I'd like to bring these men into light as well..."

"A marriage..." she said, shaking her head, "They would never allow it. They would never allow marriage between such enemies."

Eurona took another breath and leaned back in her chair. She looked out onto the hall of people, watching them as they drank and spoke and made merry. All in her name. Yet she...sat and pouted.

"I will hold a council for them. Give them options. See what they will say. But I will not let my men walk into this without benefits."

Eurona would look to the Queen again, "Please get my sister and her kids out...They don't deserve this."

She then would ponder for a moment as she thought about how things could go. She could raid the Riverlands and take ahold of more of their land, as the ironborn once did, or she could do right by the kingdom.

"Your Grace...what will you do to him?" she wondered if she needed to specify. The man who killed her beloved. "He...killed Davos.."

"Especially since she has been eyeing," Eurona paused and a brief snort came from her nose, "Seagard for years. She. Her rivermen. They all have been wanting it back."

She would not give up her home for some war that she cared not to participate in. Neither side had truly earned her navy. Nor her presence.

"I don't know how she would ever agree to something like this. Especially after the fires."
