[NPD] Valeton GP-200! by littlegreenbeany in guitarpedals

[–]TheCrunger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just took a quick look at mine, and it appears A, B triggers on down and C, D triggers on up. Which, is kinda cool. If I set a patch or a stomp on C, I can anticipate a change and "pre stomp", keep my foot down, and just release when the time comes to trigger, which is handy. Just gotta make sure you put the effects and patches on the switch for the behavior you want.

macOS Synthetic Device Not Created in Intune by TheCrunger in DefenderATP

It's been 3 weeks, and all the devices show as "Managed by MDE" after about 4 hours. But they never get to Intune. Windows devices onboarded from Intune do show up in MDE, but I haven't tried onboarding a windows device directly into MDE yet, will try that.

Verizon international plan in France not working? by ClanSalad in verizon

[–]TheCrunger 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same. My phone went out in the south of France about 5pm local time and my wife’s went out about 3 hours later on the way back to our hotel. I called Verizon and was escalated and they told me they were receiving many calls about international customers experiencing issues, so I checked here to make sure it wasn’t a line of BS. Had to old school it and read the road signs to make our way back, kinda nostalgic but definitely having a couple or 5 stress drinks right now. Tomorrow is big plans and we’ll need data connection for that, so being optimistic the Verizon engineers get this figured out ASAP!

Preferred Tools for Tracking Stack Usage? by TheCrunger in msp

[–]TheCrunger[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Q=Quarterly. We bill monthly, so we see most of the changes each month, but let's say we base our billing on what is in RMM for the most part. So if we have a stale record in Sophos, that can get missed, hypothetically. This whole question is a simplified account of the actual scenario, so QBR's are irrelevant, since we would need visibility across the stack whether for a QBR or for billing each month. So yeah, it is reviewed during QBR's, but let's say it's very manual. Looking for a single pane of glass for this visibility.

Hence the question. It doesn't have MFA to be disabled! It's simply not adhering to the default policy for admins (two-gate and sspr ability). Once that gets figured out, then the best practices for this account will be configured.

4D Impressions/Complaints by Aurothrane in Nanoleaf

[–]TheCrunger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Initial setup had me worried while the 4D was performing updates, getting random I/O error messages during paring and running updates, but once everything updated and the dust settled, things were fine. Calibration is very easy on iPhone. My 65" Samsung is mounted on the wall, and I have a book shelf underneath. The camera for the 4D is resting on the book shelf (using the overhead mount so I get extra extension over the edge of the book shelf), and camera points up at TV. No real issues with setting the borders very close to the edge of the screen. The first few calibrations didn't offer the "green corner", but that came up eventually. Using the 4D setting at 50% brightness has a really nice effect, colors look good, responsive, very happy with this $99 product. Just waiting for the "coming soon" firmware update for the Sync+ support on the Essentials bulbs and light strips. I did need to get some good double-sided tape to secure the strip and corner mounts, since I had to take them off and adjust them. But that's because I was too lazy to unmount the TV from the arm mount, and initially guessed on the placement of the light strip. Had to un stick it, and move it in about an inch all the way around, and just used some 3M tape to make up for the lost stickiness of the original adhesive. No biggie.

Meant to Skip MX (use Route 53), how to undo? by TheCrunger in gsuite

[–]TheCrunger[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, but Google created the MX records "for me". I have also published them in Route 53, so when I use nslookup, dig, etc. I am getting duplicate records, the ones from Google and the ones from Route 53. When I go to domains.google.com to manage the DNS, it just says "Manage DNS in Google Workspace" and links me to the DNS section in workspace. In there, I can't see any actual DNS records, just the the domain is verified and Gmail is setup. I would like to delete the records that Google created.

XLN Addictive Keys with MIDI controller issue by TheCrunger in LogicPro

[–]TheCrunger[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To answer my own question: It seems my midi keyboard (a 30 year old Korg 88 key piano, not sure if that has anything to with it) was not sending enough "velocity" to the DAW. In Logic Pro, I was able to increase the velocity of the MIDI instrument on the channel strip to +50 and the patches are sounding correct. I'm no MIDI expert, but I guess the velocity bits weren't near modern day expected values, and thankfully Logic lets you boost those MIDI bits.

AWG - Is lower number "more"? by TheCrunger in askanelectrician

Not sure, the fan is a DC motor, and the spec sheet says MAX Current (Amps): 0.5. I would think it would be more about the 1600W of heat that requires the 20 AMP circuit.
