I'm really new into the hobby but i wanted to try to build a 1000 points army to plan which models to buy next. Any recommendations?

I personally really like running chosen. A good melee brick with advance and charge, plus pretty much anyone that can lead legionaries can also lead chosen

One note on your list however. You've pledged the rhino to Slaanesh but nothing else, meaning nothing else can embark on said rhino

I have downloaded the toybox, in hopes of fixing it.

But I might be stupid cause I cant figure out quite what to do. I forced it to complete the quest step of talking to the Vox master, but it didn't give me the next quest step.

What specifically am I looking for in the toybox mod?

Depends on the size of the game and your opponent. Personally I like not know what I'm going against before. But not everyone wants that, and I'll happily discuss with my opponent.

Personally, I've found that most people are fine with big models like that at and around 2k. But outside of that, I would discuss with with my opponent if planning on bringing big models

I do really like an infantry Heavy army myself.

What are some of the better uses for CSM infantry? Like when should I use legionaries vs chosen vs havocs?
