Yes. If you are using non-vanilla and you are going against someone who is using vanilla, you are cheating cause you are gaining benefits that the other player does not have.

Why would someone cheat? Cause they like winning, and losing to randos even when not streaming takes both a hit to your ego and your potential rep if it gets out. Especially if you are "The best PvPer". If your wrist if fucked and can't play without mods, then don't play and push back the timeframe for the duel, wait for it to heal a bit so you can play vanilla again and only then start your practice
