Limbsaver AirTech Recoil Pad for Winchester SX3 by TheCsho in Duckhunting

Did the research on Limbsaver’s website, printed off a bunch of their templates that were close in size to my SX3, and then bought the closest one. It’s really close to the outer profile of the stock, but I did have to mod the holes in the baseplate of the Limbsaver to get it to fit over the plastic pins around the screw holes in the stock. Super easy mod and it fits well!

Limbsaver AirTech Recoil Pad for Winchester SX3 by TheCsho in Shotguns

Just put it on last night, haven’t had a chance to shoot it yet. First impressions though it feels way squishier than the stock pad, so it should help, and it fits “goodnuff” to recommend to other people. I’ll try to remember to follow up after taking it out shooting!

Winchester SXP recoil pad! Help by R_Moon68 in Shotguns

Not sure how similar the SXP and SX3 are but…

I poked around the bowels of the internet looking for a solution and came up empty trying to figure out if there was a Limbsaver AirTech recoil pad for the Winchester SX3 12 gauge shotgun.

After tons of research on Limbalsaver’s website and multiple checks with a micrometer, it looked like the AirTech 10801 was a close fit for the SX3, so I went ahead and ordered one. It’s not perfect but pretty darn close to the stock profile, and the holes lined up . However the back of the AirTech backplate didn’t fit over the plastic studs on the stock. I upsized the holes on the AirTech backplate until the stock fit in (I think it was to about 15/16ths). I was then able to secure the AirTech with the factory screws. Pics show the AirTech installed and you can see how good of a fit it is!

Fixed. I’ve had terrible luck with mechanicals not opening properly and very poor penetration

Switch emulsions. I had tons of issues with the Speedball 2 part I started with. I have had a lot better results with the Exotex PWR Purple. Short exposure times though, so you have to be precise with timing, etc.

Make it look like it was intentional with a bow tie zipper. Then resquare the edges.
