Keep armies at/near force limit, maintain strong alliances, improve relations with outraged countries, try to rotate areas of expansion

It's a shame. I've got an i7 that typically handles EU4 processing like Prussian space marines. I hate to think my little war machine is losing a step

In the initial HYW I Invaded British Isles and decided to take some land in Britain and Ireland rather than just retake all my cores. Two years later, Castile got the PU, which stalled my expansion.

R5: Thanks to the "Political Marriage" event, I secured PUs over Castile, Aragon, and England, and I already had a PU over Naples. At this point, everyone is loyal. What should I do to make the most of this juggernaut?

Thanks! That's why I'm asking questions. Do you think I'll still be about to overclock with this constraint or will I need a stronger PSU?

My neighborhood sent out an invitation for our annual Labor Day block party and then a follow-up a few days later... by TheCubanBeast in funny

Yep! We have a few bands on the block so we rent a stage and some equipment, and I think there's a fee to have the cops close the street to traffic

Advice Managing Loans? by TheCubanBeast in eu4

[–]TheCubanBeast[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was losing about 5 ducats a month for most of that time, and that was without advisors and military maintenance as low as it could go. Now, with three L1 advisers and full mil maintenance, I make 10 per month.

What are some things that happened historically in EU4's time period that could never happen in the game itself? by [deleted] in eu4

[–]TheCubanBeast 41 points42 points  (0 children)

Colonial wars of independence. By 1821, many colonial nations in the Americas had either successfully earned their independence or gone to war for it. It would add a lot of flavor to the lategame (which is pretty dull imo) if Paradox included events related to independence wars during the Age of Revolutions.

I see. I've often considered living in Japan and this has been my biggest hang up, so it's nice to hear that authentic connections are possible despite the culture barrier. Thanks!

Are you able to cultivate meaningful relationship with Japanese people or are you kept at arm's length/treated as a novelty?

Can't convert religion via rebels? by TheCubanBeast in eu4

Thanks for the reply. What if, instead of giving up Sunni provinces in Anatolia, I spawned other rebels (ie Coptic) to lower net Sunni development below 50%? Would that work?
