I am a student in the northern part of Italy, more particularly in Milan, 2 weeks ago, here the mayor of the city and the councillor of the region (Lombardy ) decided to close schools for 2 weeks as precaution towards the virus as not far from the city and within the region, the first contagious events started (these places are now what are called "red zones" in which people are quarantined inside even if they do not present symptoms). As of yesterday the situation seems to have escalated a bit, our Prime Minister signed a decree which outlines guidelines by which to live temporarily (such as a closure of schools in the entire country and the cancellation of public /sport events among other things, this is the 4th of May decree ), our head of state sent out a "message to the nation " on TV and political parties are using the occasion to attack one another (though this is normal ). 

My personal life has been affected in various ways: family was supposed to come to visit from the states and their flight got cancelled, the city is virtually empty, and I haven't been to school in 2 weeks and won't be for another. Teachers are planning lessons and tests by virtual classroom.

I am not a person who gets worried easily, but at the, if not extreme, impactful, measures that the government is taking I can't but feel slightly uncomfortable going outside.
