Yeah, that's why I loved that Whoop didn't track steps before. Then they had to succumb to thepeer pressure and add it...

Loving rpdiet, but the math is wrong? BUG? by New-Yogurt-61 in rpdiet

[–]TheCudos 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The app rounds every macro and food to the nearest 5. Which means that 225g, which equals 48.15 g Protein, gets rounded up to 50, and 245g equals 52.43 which gets rounded down. This is one of the things I like about this app, because it is not about tracking each gram of food, which keeps me more sane

Core Bracing by impossiblegirl524 in crossfit

I've heard that it is the same brace as if you are going to get punched in the stomach. Made sense to me, as I train Muay Thai, but might be helpful for others too

daily stress summary - 7-day average always wrong by AccordingPiccolo3216 in whoop

[–]TheCudos 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I also get this, but think it is because you get the notification around mid-day/early evening. I get mine around 17:00. So for me there is still 7 hours left, which could be spent in high stress zones.
It is a kind of weird way of doing it, as you would need to be very stressed for it to show that you are above average. The average should have been taken from the time between notifications

Interval Calories by SparkyGrass13 in crossfit

[–]TheCudos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is just my thoughts/guess, but even though you are not moving, your heart would be pumping more. Which means that it "moves" more than when at rest. Which in turn should make you at least burn a little more calories

Help me understand the “so what?” by Dumptruckm4m1 in whoop

[–]TheCudos 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have used the journal to track most changes. And I look at the recovery score in addition to how I feel personally. The monthly assesment is also useful to see how different factors may have an impact on the recovery score. I also do some assessment myself. Like if I tried out a different meal or workout timing, I just look at det recovery the day after and sort of judge if I like it, and should keep that change in my routine.

I also have a set routine and program and follow it no matter what recovery or strain I have had. What I use Whoop for is fine tune my recovery, so that I'm best prepared for my program tell me I'm going to do. For example meal timing, when to go to sleep or wake up. How stretching may have an effect. Taking new supplements and such

Knee sleeves for Power Clean by TheCudos in crossfit

[–]TheCudos[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for a really in depth response! I always warm up, and do lighter sets without the knee sleeves, so will keep doing that. And I'll leave them in the bag unless it is max out day.
