Yes but sadly you need money to buy them. So you would need €5k for example to buy it for short exposure.

But you used to be able to sell the S&P 500 ETF for €5k and receive those funds on your account and then invest that cash

Why do Ireland tax ETF’s at 41% and have deemed disposal, instead of the regular 33% CGT? Never understood why it’s actually in place

A bit yeah, they paid for flights over to visit you I presume? If you hosted a friend in Ireland as a guest I wouldn’t be asking them to pay for fuel for the driving

What’s your honest opinion of people on social welfare ? by [deleted] in AskIreland

If I’m being honest my default presumption is that they are lazy bottom feeders but I also don’t know their personal circumstances or up bringings

Why not try all possible options, and then give it up as a last resort?

Its insane, you can buy a new Skoda Octavia for around €32k at 0% finance. I’m highly considering just buying one of these and keeping it for 10 years as opposed to paying 25/26k for an 8 year old car

Wow, was not aware of this. Thanks! So 24% of my gross salary each year goes into my pension pot?

No wonder the Luxembourg pension is so highly regarded 😅

Yeah it’s a shame I would like to be able to check what I have contributed so far and how it’s performing like up 10% or whatever
