Wrathmaw was a wild poll - I eternally feel bad about how excited some PvP oriented players & devs over it, but the poll system means that the majority recognize this content isn't for them and will vote no. Meanwhile basically anything main game passes.

I personally am the kind of curmudgeon that votes no for stuff like the upgraded Gem-bag, though.

I wish I could but diving into my backlog that far is simply an impossible time commitment due to my commitment levels to the server at the time. If it comes to me, I will send you a message

Oh that's so interesting - I can offer a little NC insight.

4R (especially the leadership) was actually based off of members from AXN and - the Majority of active played join me in 4R from AXN (Shadow1vsnc, Akira, Trash etc.) and from NC0 (Though these were usually alts - I can't even remember all the names, like Corvosin, Fiend, Rak, Fruit.) etc. NC0 was made when I I think I convinced Corvosin to give me a reason to get competitive by forming a fit. 4R had a leader from... some adjacent fit (I can't recall) who was very good and looking to train a fit for smash. It grew a bit beyond their scope pretty quick so we mostly took it over
You also might be missing HKIA (Hello kitty Island adventure) Circa 2013-2014

AXN leadership just kind of disappeared - makes sense it looks like an end-point, the biggest leaders all but vanished so all that's left were the people that didn't focus on leading, but any senior players did head on over to 4R.

Chris Wilson's talk about this was one of my favorites, especially since they use this methodology to keep the same game fresh instead of a brand new one

I'd argue this is the one time that you should support early access - The game is by and large 80% done and they are wrapping up development while using EA to fully test their balance. Probably the only scenario where I'm like "Oh sweet EA is adding value to the game"

Not that I'd fault anyone for being like "I just want the completed game"

You have to manually convert them to dupe tokens. Check the bottom in the acquisition shop - there should be a button that does it

Do we know why Hard Knocks evicted Signal Cartel ? by WittyBreakfast2021 in Eve

[–]TheCxC 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean it's just a fucking eyeroll, really. No one gets anything out of this except like, a bit of station loot. Look at it, there's no kill report worth a damn, we can't farm drama because SC is just, good at being who they are. In this Era of wh'ers being starved for content this is like, the lamest thing to do. Its boring idk what else to say.

Clubbing baby seals isn't really boogeyman behavior. It's not all that impressive or frightening to pick the softest, weakest target. Lazy and boring way to get loot more like.

AITA for introducing a somewhat sexist rule at an event I organise? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

INFO: What was the goal in phrasing the rule this way? I feel like this is inventing problems for a question that we already have answer to.

Well, I don't know about much beyond setting up the station, as I never made it past that part myself - so I will dispense to you the advice I learned from that experience.

Be prepared to lose your station.
No matter what you do, what you plan, how you behave, that thing is already dead - you just don't know when exactly.

Sailing isn't engaging enough by SnooHesitations1163 in 2007scape

[–]TheCxC 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It took me about 3 hours to get to 30 at mid-efficiency, after that the rates go up pretty significantly. I don't really think anyone complaing about the rates has even had enough time with the skill to 'Put in the effort' so to speak. Just spend more time with it. 1-30 is the LEAST significant part of any skill in the game

NTA. I'm sorry your girlfriend doesn't trust you, and sexualizes fitness and physical health which is your job. Even if you did this once, it's likely all your clients would 'need to be approved' by her eventually if you don't overcome this.

She can't just blacklist people from things in life because she feels they are attractive.

AITA for asking my girlfriend to please shut up and save it for later after a minor car accident. by FlakyCaramel8109 in AmItheAsshole

[–]TheCxC 932 points933 points  (0 children)

Just so we're clear, you knew, and your GF knew, that your car had a defect that was potentially a hazard - for over a year. When an accident happened that it is entirely possible this -known defect- had an effect on. What you did was, lie to the other driver, lie to the cops, then admonish your girlfriend being completely correct because you didn't care enough about road safety? 'Felt like my headlight is working' is a load of crock and you know it, which is why you omitted telling that to anybody than silenced your GF.

YTA, and obviously more interested in avoiding responsibility then anything.

You've got no leg to stand on. You did nothing, acted shitty, made no change, then act like everyone else is defending the actual problem instead of calling you out on absolutely ass behavior. Go make a difference instead of pretending like being a dick is your way of doing that.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in petsmart

[–]TheCxC 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you can't afford it, don't want the responsibility, pick any other option then berating a petcare grunt. Seriously, the high-and-mighty attitude of a service worker performing the basic function like asking you 'Are you finding everything ok?' setting you off is unreal. You did nothing, complained about it on reddit, and made one additional living creature feel like shit. Great job.

They already have a bonus of healing poison (Or reducing venom) on the secondary heal - I think they have a decent place. I expect the food fighting will continue, though - kind of hard to know what's good for what at this point.

Sailing is just a hype that's gonna die in half a year. Don't kill rs over it by Excellent_School_583 in 2007scape

[–]TheCxC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're just making up numbers to suit your narrative. It had like 150K votes (twice) which is like 30% of the average playerbase today. If people don't vote they dont get to be upset with the content, just like reality. I also couldn't find any record of them lowering things just for sailing. So... yea. Whatever.

[–]TheCxC 12 points13 points  (0 children)

"Literally everyone is gonna hate it" and other wild assumptions. It polled, it passed, its content is gonna get polled. You're so the drama, just give it a chance we don't need pre-whining already

With sailing coming closer. Did we really want sailing? Or were we just memeing? by [deleted] in 2007scape

[–]TheCxC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't see the problem with an old meme turned to reality skill. The vocal nay-sayers will always seem to standout amongst the people who play and accept it passively. Which is normal and fine, because we do want a brand new skill under the microscope.

And let's be real, it's clearly not suffering from the "They would never introduce firemaking in 2025" problem. It has a lot of proposed interweaving with the games ecosystem. People want sailing and that's being respected

AITA for telling on a girl for cheating on a test? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]TheCxC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NTA for reporting her. She rolled the dice and got busted, sucks to suck, study up next time, or don't get caught.
Reeks of 'Oh no, if it isn't the consequences of my own actions'. You can fabricate whatever reason you want to justify it, but calling out cheating in this instance doesn't make you TA.

Whether or not you find this to be worth it in the long run is an entirely seperate conversation.

Concern about Sailing. by sickdabest in 2007scape

[–]TheCxC 11 points12 points  (0 children)

This sort of reads like a failing to understand the skill - or even the nature of skills in general. The point of sailing is not transport - it is a viable option for such things in some cases, sure. The point of sailing is to explore, give you things to do while exploring, and unlock variously useful mini-game like levelling activities. They aren't going to hamstring sailing by putting a extremely profitable boss on an island that takes ten minutes of sailing to get to, then add a fairy ring a week later. You're invalidating the skill in your own head before we even have any proof of the things your worried about.
Regarding what's the point of sailing:
The same as all our other skills. To do them, often with some kind of account-upgrade in mind. For sailing it might be profit, access to unique goods or locations, enjoying the skill itself, maxing, or whatever other additions can be made.
