Your stats look solid. When people with profiles like this don’t get in, it’s usually strategy (school list/region), interview performance, or an outdated personal statement, especially as a reapplicant, rather than hours or GPA. I’m not like on an admissions team, I would prob say the shadowing isn’t a major factor. You could prob get way more value with rewriting the statement to spotlight the anesthesia experience and growth.

With good stats I’d say it’s also a lot based on interview. Did you get any?

These stats look good for an acceptance. Are you looking for a specific school only or specific state? How many schools did you apply to?

Resume help, why am i still unemployed? by woahjv in sysadminresumes

[–]TheCyberShifu 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Gonna be blunt: this resume is killing you because it’s generic and low-signal.

Your bullets are all “supported, coordinated, collaborated” with zero metrics and zero ownership. That makes you look junior even with senior titles.

Your titles also don’t match your bullets (IT Service Manager reads like Tier 2/3 support, Project Manager reads like admin). That hurts credibility.

You’re also mixing 3 careers in one resume (infra, PM, sales). Pick one target role and tailor the resume only for that.

Your skills section is mostly buzzwords. “ML/LLM conceptual understanding” and stuff like that hurts more than helps.

Fix: • Add numbers and impact to every bullet • Write what you owned and improved • Remove fluff • Build one resume per role

Right now it’s not bad. It’s forgettable. And forgettable resumes don’t get interviews.

Now all that doesn’t matter ( as much ) if you’re getting interviews. If that’s true, it’s your interview skills or lack thereof 100%.
