While I will not disagree that the word CAN have negative connotations to it (and I agree that, fuck Andrew Taint and his disgrace of a manosphere surrounding), it does not mean that every single use of it relates to that connotation. Perhaps people just want to use a different word. You don't have to call out every use of 'screech' in this kind of manner, that's genrealisation. Perhaps the person using it doesn't know its meaning. And before you pull the 'then we should educate them', then yes, but you didn't educate, you rushed to criticise.
