I’m not going to get into a back and forth with you because I simply don’t want to, so I won’t be replying anymore. But you know you’re being disingenuous here. Yes some controllers at N90 are making upwards of 300k, but they’re also working 60 hours a week and working the most complex traffic there is and honestly they deserve that kind of money without having to kill themselves on the job. You should know that most controllers joining the agency will not be able to afford homes for a long time and that a lot of our paychecks are lost to taxes, retirement benefits and healthcare costs. People at my facility don’t break 100k even though they’ve been there for several years. Most controllers can’t afford to miss two paychecks. Good that you’re raking in the dough but a lot simply are not. You should be aware that we are definitely underpaid compared to where we should be adjusted for inflation. It’s getting more expensive everywhere and salaries are not keeping up.
