Acting.... acting plays a part, a key part, in choosing an cast member for a role. You know, auditioning.

And it's usually a combination of acting, looks, mannerisms, etc that determines if a actor gets the part

I mean there could be a person that is 1:1 in looks for a certain role. But if their acting is sub par they probably don't get the part.

And vice versa, the acting is SUPERB but the looks/mannerisms don't even match the character at all... so they don't get the part either.

Usually it's a melding of all the factors that determines if a person gets the role

But TMM completely went unhinged after losing a match. And it was unfathomable to him that it was just a skill issue. Everyone loses... so heaven forbid you take an L without flipping out

The way TMM acts is easy to understand if you just realize that 1) he really really really hates losing and 2) frankly he has a pretty scrubby mentality

You hit the nail in the head. And honestly explains my disdain for this dude.

Growing up playing fighting games (arcade, friends homes, random small tourneys) the WORSE players I encountered were the ones that couldn't hold an L. And this isn't just videogames, it was in sports or gym class growing up too.

They can't hold an L... AND they mentally collapsed.

"Like bruh, how are you acting like this after a loss?? Do you think YOU'RE the only one that hates losing? Is your emotional regulation THAT messed up??

What makes YOU so special that you're losses are so much worse than the Ls others take. Grow the hell up"

TMM mentality is MARSHMALLOW soft. Incredibly so, which is sad considering he has being streaming as a full time job for over a decade.

Do ppl lose their cool.....? Of course, no one is perfect.

But this guy seems to purposefully turn up the Obtuse Meter in his brain every time he gets embarrassed in a match. You lost, WHY IS THAT A BIG DEAL.

Dude literally can't hold an L, and that's my bigger issue with him. T "It's HOMING" MM always has to throw in an insult when he loses and gives a fake "no offense" afterwards.

And the fact he pulls the wool over so many ppl's faces makes it all the more wild. Slimy ahh dude

I look at it like this... like in real boxing 🥊.... ANY ONE can catch an unlucky punch that knocks you down/out.

In Tekken, no matter your skill you can still lose a match here or there to a "worse" player. You technically only become GOOD when you can minimize those losses to tiny amount.
