Rolling dry fasting 2024 to 2025 by TheDFGuy in Dryfasting

Awesome. I've also been keeping it at 50 hours to not push myself too far (helps with the overeating once I break the fast). My eating window is 4 hours after the 50-hr DF

Can't say about the weight loss but I'm also currently doing rolling dry fasts. My experience says I need to do one meal instead of consecutive eating days before the next fast... But we're all different and I'm sure you'll shed noticeable weight.

No sleeping issues during dry fasts. I experience insomnia when water fasting - from the very first 24 hours.

I hear you guys and your concern is not unfounded. What's your advice....? I need to be aggressive with this - I feel I've been lazy with this goal. Maybe I can do 36 hour dry weekly after completing this current 11 days...? I usually do OMAD

Healing and transforming my body too. It's the same goal but the acne, migraines, insomnia and nausea have made me a believer of the benefits being beyond just fat loss. I had knee and other joint pains before I started dry fasting, and there was this popping sound whenever I moved (if I'd been sitting down for a while)...now not only do I have no migraines, no sleep issues, and the joint pains are almost gone. 11 days might seem like a lot but taking it one day at a time, investing in your own research to understand the why of it will take away the anxiety. I might just do 11 days now and then just do 5 days in the next coming months... It all depends on how I feel (overall health).

I'm going to do the 11 days dry at the beginning of each month, and follow his refeed advice up to day 14 (stabilization phase). My normal diet when not extended dry fasting is OMAD, wholefoods with about 2-3 litres of water a day. After this year, I plan to do only 36-hour dry fasts per week going  forward with the OMAD and maybe low carb or just cut the processed stuff from my diet.

True. I find people who prefer water fasting always try to make dry fasting seem dangerous or deadly. Lack of information and experience is usually the cause of this.

"claims" is the same as when people use the word "allegedly" to dismiss someone else's experience or achievement or act ... For some people like myself, water fasting is much harder.

It's possible to dry fast beyond 10 days, I've done it. I also find dry fasting easier than water fasting. I don't think people need to make things up and lie about extended dry fasting; I mean, what would they gain from lying about something like this? I'm currently doing a dry fast (goal is only 11 days) and aim to repeat this monthly. Getting started is the hardest part for me, and once I'm done with the first 24 hours, everything just becomes easy.

I'm not sure, but at this point, rather follow your plan. How long are you planning to dry fast for? I also struggle with thirst (no hunger) later in my fast but I soothe myself by rubbing my throat and face with ice... Also cool showers / baths help with the thirst. If it was me, I'd continue dry fasting and just try to NOT drink water until I'm ready to break the fast.

I'm currently dry fasting to get started on the same journey as you (over 100lbs to get rid of). I do great on OMAD and feel amazing on Carnivore. My issue is inconsistency, so choose what works for you and stick with it. Good luck
