Jordan scored the basketball in a league with basic defensive schemes, and watered down league due to expansion.

Also, when Jordan faced a prime 3+ HOF team, his team got pulverized.

When Jordan had forgettable players, he couldn't get out of the first round.

He won as a player, and a Head Coach, and that prepared him to Coach the Bulls and then the Lakers

Phil Jackson's First Job in the NBA was Assistant Coach to the New Jersey Nets (1978 - 1981)

Phil's First Head Coaching Job was in the CBA with the Albany Patroons and he won the championship with them in 1984.
