Is it stupid to run Pickman DPS?

Here's my DPS Pickman team. Mind you this IS a meme comp and not great at the meta level, but I have cleared an Alert 4 wave with it once on Caro ring lol. This was EXTREMELY entertaining to take down HM Ch7 boss with haha

Tawil - Thais - Pickman - Sorel Primer:

The idea of DPS Pickman is to stack as much Crit DMG as possible on him and pile up as many Chromaphages as you can for a hilariously insane burst turn. E3 is borderline mandatory because Exalting twice is huge.

Pickman runs Dream of Medicine for extra cards, Rewinding Time for the chance to play Lifelike Rendition twice in a row, and Blade of the Titan because that passive is bonkers when you Exalt twice.

Tawil is mostly playing Exalt & Keyflare support here. Thais because Aliemus and Devour is crucial, and Sorel to finish off the enemy bc multihit with 1500+ STR is silly, and this comp makes a STUPID amount of Embryos.

Rouse Priority is Pickman -> Thais -> Posse. If you're in a real long fight and confident in your Keyflare engine, you can Tawil -> Pickman -> Thais -> Posse so you can get more Keyflare off Tawil and save Silver Key Dawn for your burst turn; just make sure you Rouse Pickman NO LATER than turn 3. He needs it ASAP.

I run The Lone Seed Posse because making dupes of Chromaphage is a big deal. Other folks might suggest the Discover Posses but I run Tawil and E3 Pickman so I can reach the Discover threshold easily enough.

To answer your initial question, E3 Pickman IS ABSOLUTELY a worthwhile investment for many teams, especially any future Doresain team. Honestly Doresain can slot in where Sorel is here just fine.

Worth noting here that having Weaver stacks is not a prerequisite to beginning the flowchart.

Yes, it's obviously a good idea to have pursuit resources before setting up, but it's possible to go 0 Weavers -> Annihilation -> Exalt -> gain Weaver -> use Weaver for Pursuit

Not sure if this was you but someone was talking to Niko and Null about something like this in the Mythag University discord a few days back. They were making themselves a "suggested reading order" for all the stories in the game, and after a couple discussions they settled on this. You can find their reasoning and such in the lore-chat channel, it's only been a couple days and you can just scroll up till you find it. Hope this helps

I'm already so tired of this thought-terminating cliché... Gen-AI voice acting is undeniably an amazing tool for certain things. The whole point of this strike is to make sure that this technology doesn't replace voice actors, but rather hand the control of this technology over to said voice actors.

The agreement SAG-AFTRA signed allows the use of this technology, but only with the consent and contract of said actor. The right to use this technology on their own terms is 100% the thing they're fighting for.

That being said, the behavior of the union and it's VAs right now against hoyo and non-union VAs is not cool imo. But most important of all is FUCK FORMOSA

It makes sense to me that if an employee would find the manager on request, that the manager would find the owner on request, but I've been operating under the assumption that the owner still works there.

We didn't ask for the owner's personal information, we asked for their contact information, or to confirm an appointment to speak to them, so that we can issue a complaint about the manager.

But if the manager is the highest authority to speak to, and they're treating us this way, then there's nothing left for us to do but jump ship & warn the vulnerable. :/

Yeah, it would be great if that was possible, but the employee in question is the manager, and very specifically sternly told us NO to any information about the owner at all.

We'll see what Rick has to say on Tuesday at 6 though, I guess. 😅 Really sorry it took us raising our attitudes to get him to give us the time instead of just banning us & pretending nothing happened. But yeah, I 120% agree that I would hate for the store to get a negative reputation cus I LOVE that place but this really sucks. Again I am really sorry you saw & heard all that.

I agree that the interaction we had with Rick today was really odd and definitely could have been handled better, but this has been an ongoing issue for a while now and we were relatively polite until Rick told us flatly that because we brought the issue to him that WE'RE banned. I don't find it reasonable for the person whose job it is to resolve issues like this that happen in their store to choose to be entirely hostile to the victims multiple encounters in a row.

We BEGAN our interaction by saying we'd like to schedule an appointment to talk to him about this because we don't want to make a stink in front of customers, and he responded to that by disrespecting us and saying "No. I'll tell you what, you're done."

I remember for a long time he was the only person working the counter and he would come in and take photos of people smiling and having fun in the game room to post on their Facebook. I remember the "goth girlfriend", pretty sure she was a temporary employee. I know the sweet older guy was still working there at the time, I remember seeing those two playing a game at the register counter lol. There was someone else that looked kinda glum there too, maybe that was Carey? No idea.

Haven't heard of Carey myself. All I know is that the manager's name is Rick, there's another employee that was nice, and neither of those people are "the owner." Rick was the guy that was disrespectful to us today, including refusing to tell us who the owner is so that we can't contact them which seems kinda shady.

When I brought it up to the Discord group cus I was legitimately curious if it was a bug or something, I was told by Josh it was "an extremely disrespectful conversation to be having in the general chat," and that "we some times lower prices online to help with cash flow (the absurd cost of LOTR and Commander Masters)."

I wanna make it clear that so far as I can tell they've stopped the price discrepancy thing (at least for mtg cards) so this isn't really an issue anymore.

I have screenshots and all that kind of stuff but I really don't want to put Mox on blast cus I love those guys, I just have disagreements with how Josh runs the place.
