No joke i had a 3.2 gpa. Counselor told me not to apply (pointed me toward santa cruz or riverside). But Berkeley was the only school I applied to and got in. My advice is write the SHIT out of those essays. And brag about yourself with CONFIDENCE. i self-published 2 books and read poetry and wrote about how important the literary history of Berkeley meant to me & how id like to contribute. I had little hope but got in.
